Great gear
Good fit. I like the additional storage of this vest. I am able to put my extra short and shirt during runs when I have to catch the bus back home. One down fall is that I am unable to use my Salomon trek pole bag with this vest. But my trek poles can fit in the back storage. But that’s not my preference.

Excellent Carry All
I have run approximately 70 miles with the pack and I am very pleased. It is comfortable, easy to use, and can carry a lot of gear. If I could change anything I would 1. Add connections for the quiver for carrying poles, 2. Move the side pocket access a little closer to the front of the body. I am very happy with the product.

Great running vest love it!
I got this vest as a Birthday present after being recommended it by a friend. I had a previous Salomon vest which is now about 10 years old and has gotten me through many miles of running. The fit and quality of the vest is great so far, I hate anything moving around and this vest fits like a glove. I am loving the additional space at the back and the zip front pockets that are not made of mesh type of material they look a lot more hardwearing than my previous vest (which still lasted for a decade!). Look forward to using this for my first ultra marathon event in October. Would definitely recommend.

Roomy Pack
Purchased for a 50 miler. Had to experiment a bit with the best way to secure poles, but once dialed in, worked great. As others mentioned, my back got warmer than with other packs but that’s expected with how weather resistant it is. Be careful with upper front pockets as stuff can slip out when bending over so the zipper pockets are the best option for slimmer items like a cell phone.

Magic Trick 🪄 🐇
This vest absolutely disappears and you forget you’re wearing it sometimes. Long time UD guy (PB 1.0 Adventure, Jurek FKT, Mountain Vest 4.0, 5.0). I became very disappointed in the durability of their products. The ADV Skin feels soft and is highly breathable. Fits snug which reduces bouncing. The first thing I noticed was how streamlined it was. UD had too many straps, pockets, buckles, etc. This is incredibly dialed and easily the best vest currently in the market.

Versatile and Lightweight
At 11.29 oz, this vest already feels weightless. How did Salomon make a 15 liter pack with a built in dry bag system for this weight? With intelligent placement of blends consisting of 100% polyamide and 100% polyester in high abrasion areas and saving weight in other less abrasive areas. It takes about 3 meters worth of water pressure for your contents to begin to get wet. And yet, this pack does not feel hot on your back as you exert energy. Speaking of contents, there are several easy to access pockets to store all types of your favorite pieces of gear, which can be especially important if you are running ultras and through the night. This could hold a couple nights worth of supplies such as a bivy, food, a first aid kit, a shell jacket, extra clothing, fire starter, map, compass and a few more items if needed/ wanted (yes I am guilty of overpacking). There are several adjustments available to you as your body weight/ shape ebbs and flows. A left and right chest bungee, a left and right bottom rib bungee and of course being able to move around the chest pieces and the main adjustable bungee. The ugly (albeit almost unnoticeable): The only two pockets that can be potentially difficult to access are the two back stretch pockets as it helps to be quite flexible to reach those items without removing the vest. The zippered pockets on the front can become very tight to fit items in/ take them out when the two full 0.5 liter bottles are utilized. I keep my topo map strapped to the bungee on the outside for quick access…but if I want to put it back, I need to be taking the best off completely. This vest does not come with the soft 0.5 liter bottles. Overall, I recommend this vest for advanced to expert runners (beginner runners save your money and start small like the ADV Skin 5 which I’ve used for 5 years and it is still kickin’ it on trail and road. The Cross Season 15 can be used on 100 mile runs and won’t limit you and will also be great on 3 mile mountain traverses.

Good sized pack but uncomfortable
I purchased this to replace my 10 litre Inov8 pack. I’ve entered a 70 mile event in June and needed a bigger pack. I can just fit all my equipment in the pack and the outside pockets are useful for food etc. I don’t use soft flasks but the bladder instead but this makes the inside smaller. My first run with full kit went okay but he next week I tried it and ended up with friction burns on my back and shoulders. No idea how I’m going to cope on the day. Guessing I’ll have to use a lot of rock tape. If I had the money I would try a different pack but I don’t. 🙄

How do you attach quiver
Love this bag, a little heavy but it’s the only all weather option. I like my Raidlight ultralight a little more because it’s much lighter and waterproof but this bag offers many more pockets. The liner is thick which is a con but it holds a lot. Please: HOW DO YOU ATTACH A QUIVER

No where near as good as the adv skin 12
I bought this for an upcoming multi day race with a lot of mandatory kit, which I was struggling to fit in my usual pack (12l adv skin). I love the adv skin so took the plunge for the 20l even though it isn’t custom quiver compatible. Took it out on a run in the hills, I struggled to access the side pockets, I had food fall out. The side mesh pockets are not as easy to reach as other packs, you almost had to be able to dislocate your shoulders to get to them. I think because the pack is shorter (short even for me and I’m 5ft 3) and deeper, it’s quite uncomfortable. I also ended up feeling like due to the layout of the pack and the side pockets not being the best placed I was no better off than I was with the 12L. I reverted to an old montane pack. Advantage was it held up against the weather,

OK but not great
Bought this for extra capacity over my other packs that I use for 100 mile races and the waterproofing feature. Used it for Northern Traverse 300km. The good: roll top entry is better than side zips for easy access. Pack fits well without bouncing. The bad; the bottle pockets are ridiculously tight. They have no stretch. Had to buy salomon speed flasks as they were slimmest style of bottle and even they were almost IMPOSSIBLE to get in the vest. The so called easy hook system on front chest straps really aren't easy with cold hands. Actual available storage space really isn't that great as there is no stretch in the material. Fine for shorter events up to 100 mile max (depending on kit needs) but definitely not a multi day friendly pack. That's on me I guess. Storage options up front not as good as I would have liked. With full bottles there's really no way to use the pocket in front and if you fill them then its even harder to get refilled bottles back in. I also had items work their way out of the front mesh pocket. I added an OMM compressor pod to the rear to get more usable storage for the race. Overall disappointed as the pack is comfortable to wear but little frustrations in long events wastes time and also become issues in combination with sleep deprivation!
