Comfortable winter hiking boot
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
- Size Bought:
- 7.5
I'm a fan of Solomon hiking boots as they give my average-width feet room to spread out without the boots feeling too wide overall. My regular Salomon hiking boots aren't really warm enough for hiking or snowshoeing in Vermont winters, so I was pleased to find this newest winter hiking boot offering. I usually wear a 7.5 street shoe and found I did not need to size up for these boots. They are sturdy and warm without feeling overly heavy or clunky. They are a bit stiffer than my regular hikers, but that wasn't a deal breaker for me as I'm looking for more winter protection. I have shorter legs, so I appreciate the modest mid boot height compared to other competitors, which improves boot flexibility for me. The traction on ice and snow is excellent. I highly recommend these boots.
