I love this helmet!
A great helmet, love the photo lens and the ease of use. As a ski patroller, I am in and out of my helmet all day, everyday and it performs top notch every time.

Nice Helmet, but no optional lenses avaiable
The helmet is nice, but I would like more lens options. They are sold out of all Cat 3 and Cat 2 lenses, and have no plans to release Cat 1 lenses for the Drive Prime Sigma Photo helmet. If you scratch or damage the lens it came with, you are currently out of luck getting a replacement. Makes for expensive gear to keep in the closet. Additionally, I think the lens that came with the helmet is too dark for overcast days, and even though it is advertised to adjust with different light conditions, I can't see any adjustment.

DRIVER PRIME SIGMA PHOTO MIPS
Well worth it, game changer. I wear glasses and OTG top range does not do it for me. This unit with the photochromic lens is next level. Cannot thank the developers R&D guys enough. From the mechanical quality pull forward and up for the goggles to the clarity in all weather's without changing lens outstanding. If you wear big or small glasses no worries, comfortable fit no pressure on bridge of nose and the clarity is honestly next level. 10 out 10 for me superb

Cool idea but still needs a lot of work.
The only reason I gave it 2 stars is because I really do love the idea of goggles being integrated into the helmet but unfortunately the design is flawed, from my experience. I was boarding during moderate/heavy snowfall with overcast skies and the photochromic lenses absolutely did not work at all in those conditions. The goggles fog from moisture very rapidly and then almost instantly freeze over, leading to complete obstruction. I went do the mountain 3 times completely blind before going to get my other goggles which were like a godsend after using this helmet/goggle setup. Maybe these would work better in different conditions but experience with these was not good at all.

I love it but..
I love this helmet but here are my advices because I don't think it's for everyone: FIT: My head circumference is 59 cm, which is just in between the Medium and Large. I ordered both sizes and the medium did not fit at all but the large was perfect. I'd recommend to size up, especially if you are considering using a balaclavas. FACE SHAPE: I'm very fit and have low body fat but I do have slightly bigger cheeks, which allows this helmet and the goggles to fit nice and tight and prevents air from coming through under the goggles. this is super important because when you ski, especially at decent speeds, the cold air can make your eyes water, creating humidity behind your goggles and therefore increasing the risk of fogging OR forcing you to constantly open the goggles to wipe your eyes. If you have a balaclavas, you can place it high enough on your face so that the goggles sits on top of it, which would create a better seal. SKIING CONDITIONS & LENSE I skied in Aspen where the weather was sunny and or cloudy. It was extremely cold (8º Fahrenheit/-13º Celsius). The lens was amazing for these conditions and the helmet was very warm. The lens photosensitivity was perfect, the changes in contracts happen quick enough without ever being noticeable which I loved. FOG: My lens didn't fog at ALL despite the freezing conditions. I was worried about my breathing coming from under my balaclavas and fogging the inside but it didn't happen at all. The only fogging I've experience was on the outside of the lens if I was breathing extremely heavily through my mouth but it would disappear instantly so it wasn't an issue at all. SNOWY CONDITIONS: It didn't snow when I skied, BUT the last day was one of those bright overcast days (flat light conditions) on the slopes and I felt like the lens didn't not perform as well in those conditions to highlight the terrain and I would definitely want to get a brighter lens. I ski pretty aggressively and I don't think this would be an issue for people who ski at a more "normal" pace but I had a hard time seeing those random snow accumulations you get at the end of the day on the slopes Overall super happy with this purchase but finding extra lenses to purchase is looking like it will be a very difficult task. I have been looking at the lens listing on this website for months and nothing has been added.... We are now in the prime season and based on previous comments from years ago all the way up until today, it seems that Salomon is not really prioritizing making these lenses. LENSE REPLACEMENT/PROTECTION: Salomon is not offering a Photosensitive lens replacement anywhere from all the research I've done. The 3 replacement lenses colors available for this helmet on their website (which have been almost all sold out in all colors and sizes for this entire season so far) are only 1 Category 3 (very sunny days, which is not needed since the original lens is amazing for that) and 2 different colors of Category 2 lenses for Cloudy conditions. Why no Category 1 lenses since that's what's missing the most and could be the easiest upsell? So if you drop your helmet in the wrong spot and break the lens, well that's it and you'll have to wait for months, maybe years until they update the helmet and only provide lenses for the newer version... The original helmet comes with the thinnest carrying bag that doesn't protect the lens from anything besides very small scratches. I would recommend popping out the magnetic lens from the helmet and place it in a protective case (that Salomon doesn't provide or offers to purchase) to avoid breaking the lens during transportation. Overall very happy the helmet and the mechanism, Salomon did it right! I just wish they would have went all the way with the lens replacements that are ACTUALLY available to purchase and smarter lens category options for those additional lenses.

Great product, but not for everyone.
My husband and I bought 1 each. He loves his, however, mine did not fit. I must have a skinny face or something because it wasn't until we went skiing in wind and snow that I discovered gaps on the side where the googles meet the helmet. They were big enough to allow the snow inside and then accumulate in the goggles. Because I had worn the helmet once, they would not give me a refund, so this was a very costly waste of money. So, make sure you try them on and check for gaps before buying one.

Everything I wanted!
This is a great helmet. Fit is perfect and adjustable so when I go from a heavy head cover to a light it always feels great. The key point is the goggles. NO FOG, EVER! Sunny, snowing, heavy fog conditions, same lens works for them all. Buy the time you buy a good helmet and a really good set of goggles, you have spent the same amount. Now I have both in one. Very pleased with my purchase and highly recommend this combo helmet..

Not bad
The goggles fit better and don’t fog up. Overall it’s comfortable and warm. The lenses work great in sun and shade. well sealed. keeps me warm. Perfect magnetic visor and, thanks to the photochromic lens, suitable for all light conditions.

No low-vis visor available-returned helmet
Stupidity at its finest! Great helmet but not the necessary options available. Skiing in January in the north gets dark especially if in a storm!!! Need to offer low-visibility lenses and or clear as options.
