Why We Like The MTN Summit Pro Touring Boot
When the crowds at the resort have us frustrated we cut our own skin track in the Salomon MTN Summit Pro Touring Boots. These lightweight boots use a BOA closure and touring-specific liner to encourage us to go further into the backcountry than ever before. Toss in the beefy walk-mode lever and we have peace of mind and performance from the trailhead to the top of remote peaks.

Light and packed with features.
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
- Size Bought:
- 23/23.5
This is my first touring boot as I am new this type of skiing. I am impressed by the technological features of this boot. The BOA system cable and single angle strap is a great step forward for comfort and ease of adjustment. The ability to shift between walk and ski mode works well and gives a nice range of flexion when desired. They are very light which is great but also maybe not as warm as my regular ski boots. On a very cold day I would use a toe warmer. I am a 5.5 women's shoe size which translates to 22.5 mondo. I found the 22.0/22.5 boot too small in the toe so had to exchange for the 23.0/23.5 which fits great. I would suggest ordering half size up if you happen to have a 'half-size" foot.
