Why We Like The Salomon QST Blank Ski
Don't let the subtle name fool you, the Salomon QST Blank Ski is full of personality. These skis have gained a strong footing in the market recently due to their versatile feel, exceptional deep snow performance, and forgiving design. The versatility is created by a camber section underfoot and rocker in the tip and tail. This combination allows you to drive your skis on firm snow and float through deep snow with equal aplomb. Meanwhile, the 112mm waist width offers exceptional float in deep snow and stability in chopped up snow. Finally, the burly yet lightweight construction centered around a poplar core inspires confidence through it all.

ABSOLUTE SLAYER
Whether it's windpack, chunder or a blower pow day, the BLANKs charge through with ease. There's stuff on either end of this spectrum, but these do it all. With a smile

Great ski - easily damaged topsheet
This ski is phenomenal. It is super damp and planted. The cork damplifier really works. The ski floats better than a typical 112 and having the versatility to rip some carves on groomers on the way back to the lift is pretty sweet. Absolutely love the weight of the ski. At 2220 grams (186 length) it can really plow through chop with ease. My one complaint is that the top sheet durability is not good. Many many companies have switched to textured nylon top sheets for a reason. If Salomon does this, I couldn’t imagine a better ski. It’s just tough to spend so much money on the ski and not have the top sheet be super durable (mainly the tips). Overall a killer ski.

The best of both worlds
The Blank is the hardest charging lightweight ski I’ve ever skied. You can lean on the tail when you need it and it doesn’t have a speed limit in anything you’d consider soft snow. It skies like it weighs 1.5x as much as it does.

Easy turner!
Received the blanks right before two days and 23” storm, what a treat floating along, quick in the trees. Effortless cruising!

They Stomp!
The ski was great from sunrise to Sunset. But the ability to be tipped over and carved hard on groomed runs to warm up. Then floating through deep and sometimes wind crusted powder with confidence. Every time I took off and landed from any hit, I felt rocksolid. One of the best parts was how well it charged through the crud midday and popped when ollied off every side hit. Definitely could be a quiver killer If you had mostly great snow. But if you’re going to ski the front side a lot, you’d wanna add in a narrower ski.

Versatile Powder Ski
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
- Size Bought:
- 178 cm length
- Weight:
- 180
I bought these to replace my old powder boards and could not be happier. The ski has good float in deep powder conditions but also has significant edge hold on hard pack. The side cut makes it a pretty quick turner. I just put it through the wringer at Alta where we received 30+ inches over 4 days.

Rocked my Heli Ski trip at Mike Wiegeles this week
Ripped in the trees and handled the increasing density snow on the way to the helicopter pick up We caught a resort day at Sun Peaks on the way and cruised goomers all day with ease. I’m not sure how they did it but its a winner in everything I skied in.

Great looking ski and the base awesome
I have not got to ride them yet (not quite ski season) but I have got a lot of compliments on the skis. So excited to get them out and see how they ride.
