Favorite Shoe

I'm a size 11 and it fit true to size. Great midfoot lockdown and wonderful traction on rocky and muddy terrain. I was a little worried with the stack height for stability on technical terrain, but have had no issues. I highly recommend these shoes.

Super disappointed w low quality for $$$

Familiarity:
I returned this product before using it
Size Bought:

Weight:

Shoes arrived and the tongue was already falling to pieces. Looking over the shoe further there were threads pulling and seam glue all over making this look almost like a knock off. Super disappointed but this is the 3rd pair of Salmons in a row that I have been disappointed with.. not sure what happened to the brand I remember from years ago but this ain't worth my money.

Lightest and comfortable trail runners

1. Very breathable 2. Very Light 3. comfortable and nimble the price is more expensive than non S/Lab version but worth well it the extra premium on top. Durability will be tested soon after Winter/Spring here (live at rainy and super cold region)

Good for big feet

If you liked the fit of the old Sense Pro, you'll probably really like these. Most Salomons are too short in length for me (I typically wear a size 15 US in a Nike), but a size 49 1/3 (or a 14 US) in this shoe fits perfectly. They still have the typical narrow Salomon fit, but their length is slightly longer than their marked size indicates. This model has a lot more cushioning than the old Sense Pro too, which is great for longer days on your feet. It's great to see more companies catering to people with bigger feet, much appreciated.

New fave Salomon

Loving the extra foot protection while still retaining a light weight profile.

My first S Labs product

They fit a little tighter than I expected, I think it’s a good thing. Foot doesn’t move in them. Great traction on downhill and uphill, not bad in the mud. They will probably ware fast on the road but they aren’t meant for that. As long as they ware good off road I will keep getting them.

Love the shoe, not the color

I really like the S/Lab genesis shoe for walking, hiking and running. Great support . I am glad they have not changed the structure of the shoe with the updates. I like some color options better than others and this blue and white shoe is not my favorite. Hope to see a new color scheme soon.

Perfect trail running shoe

Was hesitant to spend this much $ on a trail shoe when I have two that I love. This was definitely worth the $! Amazing fit and zero debris got in despite multiple deep creek crossings. The traction was fantastic on wet rocks throughout the trail - only the second shoe I’ve found with great traction! Only complaint is that it seems a bit long, but going down a half size made it too small. Overall, highly recommend this shoe!

Too snug

I usually wear S-LAB Ultra shoes. Based on rave reviews I decided to try Genesis. Huge mistake! When I tried the shoes on, the first thing I noticed was the cushioning which is nice for my plantar fascia. However, when I went for a first run, my plantar fascia started screaming in the first mile. I tried to loosen up the shoes, but it didn’t help. It felt like my feet are in Louboutins (ladies will understand). The sizing was normal, there was plenty of room in the front, but the sides are too snug. In the end I had to buy a new Ultra 3 shoes again. Now I’m stuck with the Genesis shoes that I wore for a mile and can’t even return.

My go-to shoes for 100 milers

I’m on my third pair of the s/lab genesis. The cushion is superior for pounding the ground for long distance yet fast for the quick turn over. The shoe breathes well, it’s protective from rocks, and dries enough when crossing waist high creeks. My only complaint is the shoe takes a good 100 miles to feel broken-in but the upside is that it will last you a solid 600 miles. The most versatile shoe I own to date as it serves for speed workouts, long distance, climbing, and race day. I’m 5’5, 140 lbs, have narrow feet, and front of the pack. By comparison, a bigger running buddy with wider feet feels the toe box is adequate but still slim in the heel. Lastly, there is no diff. Between the gray and the blue color of these shoes; the white portion is a good spot for kids to draw on it.
