Lightweight Durability with Comfort and Grip
I’ve been really impressed with the Salomon S/Lab Genesis. Right out of the box, the cushioning felt amazing with virtually zero break-in time. The toe box is incredibly roomy and productive—it gives my toes plenty of space to breathe without feeling sloppy, and it offers great protection for uneven terrain. Even though I’m not running super rocky trails, the foot box handles rutted paths, roots, and moderate climbs like a champ. The slightly narrower midfoot fit locks my foot in nicely, giving me a secure feel without compromising comfort. One of my favorite features is the built-in sock/gaiter—it keeps trail debris out surprisingly well, even on leaf-covered singletrack. Durability has been excellent so far. The only minor issue I’ve seen is a small corner of seam tape coming loose from the tongue’s lace pocket, but it hasn’t caused any problems. These are my go-to shoes now, whether I’m chasing PRs at the local park or heading out for longer trail runs with elevation gain. With the S/Lab Genesis, you get lightweight durability, great fit, comfort, and reliable grip across most conditions. Absolutely worth the price if you're serious about trail running

On my 3rd pair in three years
The first time I picked these up in summer of 2023, I didn't like them as much as say the Kjerags for being nimble and precise, but with time they have become the answer-to-all ultra running shoes for me. They can comfortably cover all terrain with the good cushioning and conservative lugs. Once used the 8mil drip, rather quickly and nimbly compared to other shoes in its' class. Over the years, I was starting to feel that Salomon shoes were losing their durability and longevity. I don't buy other models from them these days, but this one has proven to be remarkably durable and comfortable with age. I've just purchased last years' colorway on sale (good bargain) and comfortably put around 1000km in each the first and second pairs with only signs of total exhaustion in the soles. I really look forward to the this line of shoe enduring - keeping its' lightweight, durable and everything ready profile.

Des everything right
I've had the chance to do several runs in these now and they do exactly what it says on the tin. Really good on rooty, technical forest paths which is what I bought them for. Grip is really good and comfort from the matryx upper is better than expected. I'm used to a bit more cushion under foot, but there's plenty there for what I've been using them on so far.

Favorite shoe
These last longer than any other Solomon trail shoe I’ve worn. I’ve gone through 4 pairs and each pair comfortably gives me 500+ miles. The lugs on the outsole do eventually wear down. The foam and upper hold up so well. Comfortable right of the box.

Favorite Shoe
I'm a size 11 and it fit true to size. Great midfoot lockdown and wonderful traction on rocky and muddy terrain. I was a little worried with the stack height for stability on technical terrain, but have had no issues. I highly recommend these shoes.

Shoes arrived and the tongue was already falling to pieces. Looking over the shoe further there were threads pulling and seam glue all over making this look almost like a knock off. Super disappointed but this is the 3rd pair of Salmons in a row that I have been disappointed with.. not sure what happened to the brand I remember from years ago but this ain't worth my money.
