Poor Engineering
Low Ankle cuff makes for loose fit, Buckles all a pain to adjust before each run. Liners difficult to remove and reinsert for daily drying especially if you have stick on boot fitting shims. Wire broke and started unravelling after 8 days use!! I recommend WOULD NOT recommend to anyone. I bought because I have wide feet and wish I could take them back but had them blown out even wider. Super dissapointed in this product.

The perfect skimo boot..
Salomon did it with the S/Lab Mtn Summit. It’s the perfect blend of lightweight and powerful stiff. This boot wants to run up the mountain and rip down.

Solid boot - improvements would make it perfect
Bought this to replace some very well loved (and old in the tooth) MTN labs from ages ago that are still good but I figured an upgrade was in order. Fit: the toebox is definitely roomier than the older MTN labs which is a big plus. Last seems similar and you can heat mould of course. However, the actual length is shorter by a few mm - and there's a significant difference in BSL (about 12mm for a 28.5 boot). Will likely need to get them punched for my big toe. My foot definitely feels way snugger in these which is great (more of an alpine racing fit). For ref, I own 27.5 S/Pro 130's and the fit is almost as tight as my 28.5 Summits. Overall impressions: I like the BOA - will see how it survives deep bootpacking adventures up couloirs. The main buckle provides enough range to get decent ROM when you flip it open, but you likely will want to reposition the velcro strap. The powerstrap though needs improvement - I find it annoying (position, length and lack of adjustable buckle means you're going to fiddle with it during every transition). Still early season in the Canadian Rockies so haven't charged hard yet with the boots, but they were driving my 106 skis without any problem. The boot does tend to buckle outward at the ankle when you really drive shin pressure though - more so than my older MTN Labs. What I don't like: the liner ... might be lightweight, but I immediately switched the stock liner for my Intuition Pro Tours ... Weight: my older MTN Labs came in at 1590g each boot - this one came in at 1305g (with the stock liner). Other note: given the significantly shorter BSL as compared to the MTN Lab, expect to have to reposition your bindings (at min your rear piece will need to move up). Overall, I'm quite happy with the purchase, subject to the above.

Great lightweight boot
Bought this to replace a Scarpa F1 LT that was fitted too big, and wanted to try this instead. Overall, it’s a great boot with a slightly wider toe box than the F1 LT. The ski/walk switch is probably the best feature of the boot. On the up, the ROM and weight make it just as walkable as the F1 LT. On the down, I was slightly less confident with this boot than the F1 LT. It has a more progressive flex, but it does feel not as supportive as the F1 LT despite advertising that it’s stiffer. Overall a solid boot.

Light skiboot with great performance
Did around 150 000 vertically meeters in this boot. Skied skis between 80-106 underfoot. The boot has enough Power to handle skis to around 100 waist. It depends a little how hard you want to ski. They handle the 106 good, i would reccomend to use this boot for skis up to 100 waist. And that is really good for a boot in this segment. The boot is easy to use, transition from walk to ski and vice versa is good and trustable. Doing long days outside in this boot is great. They have a a good liner, and keep you warm. Sizing: i use 42 2/3 in Salomon running shoes. I choosed 26,5 in this model. Needed to block them a little, and they feels great. ( I like skiboots to have a sensitive fit)

Perfect light touring boot!
It has been a few years since I have been this excited about a new ski touring boot. I have had this boot for a couple months now and have done about 15 days touring in them. They walk as good as any boot I have used and have little to no restriction in range of motion. For a ~1000g boot it skis well with a similar flex patter to the previous X-Alp. Transitions are super easy with a BOA on the forefoot and a single strap/buckle on the cuff along with a booster strap. The fit feels true to size and after heat molding and a couple punches for my bunions, they are perfect. My biggest complaint is that they are difficult to get on and off because of how tight the gaiter is and my high instep. I think with more use it should stretch out and become easier. I would definitely recommend this boot for anyone looking for a dedicated touring boot focused on uphill performance.

Light, Durable, and Comfortable.
I've had two renditions of this boot over the years and it might the only touring boot I ever purchase. As someone who spends more time in touring boots than alpine boots during the winter, I've put these boots through the test over several seasons. They are light on the uphill and consistently impressive on the down in every condition. The best quality about this boot is the construction won't let you down when in the backcountry. You can count on them in every way you need to while touring. Also, the rubber bottoms have great grip while scrambling on rock during a bootpack. Only suggestion: add a Booster strap for more support.

Best boot ever
Im not sure what to say. I am shocked that such a light boot can preform so well. It is everything I always wanted and more. Beefy enough to ski most skis, and walks like a dream. Also small details like a bigger toe box keep my feet happy even on the epics where I’m in them for much longer than expected.
