Why We Like The Sense Ride 4 Invisible GTX Trail Running Shoe
We step into the Sense Ride 4, pull the laces tight, and slip through the trees for soul-reviving strides atop singletrack. The tight-knit mesh and flexible membrane stop debris and puddles from finding a way in while still letting our feet breathe and flex freely as they hop around roots and leap over caterpillar crossings. We easily find a flow with the lightweight foam underfoot softening our landings and rolling us into powerful toe offs, staving off fatigue as we venture beyond the summit.

Great
Felt hard at first but after a few run it feels perfect

Sizes are too small, very unfomfortable
First of all, the shoe runs small compared to Sense Ride 4. More importantly it seems that this model is forcing my foot into pronation and it feels like I'm only running on the outside edge of my foot. Very uncomfortable! I feel none of that on my Sense Ride 4. This shoe makes me feel clumsy and unsure of my strides downhill. Sad, I loved sense ride 4, but this is a no go.

Comfortable, gore-tex adds warmth
More comfortable after a few break-in walks, I like the warmth of gore-tex being up north, my quicklace was a little lopsided (when pulling). Not sure what to do about that other than being careful. Coming from the Outline and Outpulse, not as stable, so now I know I need a hiking model too.

Amazing quality
In my experience, Salomon is one of the few brands that still prioritizes exceptional craftsmanship in their shoes. I'm a huge fan of their products. I currently own the Sense Ride 5 without Gore-Tex and now have these as well, and I must say the quality is outstanding. The durability and comfort of these shoes are unparalleled. I would recommend considering sizing up, but of course, that can vary depending on individual preferences and foot shape. Overall, I highly recommend these shoes to anyone looking for top-notch quality and performance.

Love these Hikers!!!!
Yes - the performance is well documented in the advert but for a guy (me) that’s has no fashion sense it’s a great way to show that I might have some. Personally the rocker style I believe has helped me on long trail runs with the spring in my step but it for sure helps having them on at the end of the run cause to me my feet still felt good. And trust me - the Gore-Tex only adds to this great ride because of course it keeps you dry and warm.

Yes!!
I really like these Sense Ride 5 Gore-Tex trail running shoes. I use them on wetter days for taking the dog up the trails and my feet are super happy. I purchased these in the Gore-Tex and non-Gore-Tex versions and am happy I did. They are supportive and comfortable and the tread is amazing. I think you will like them a lot too!

Runs small
I bought these because Solomon has a good reputation and I wanted to replace my Merrels. I wear 10.5 normally so I bought them in 10.5. When I got them they were a little snug but it wasn’t too uncomfortable so I didn’t think much of it. Yesterday was my first time being physically active while wearing them and I was extremely uncomfortable to the point where the big toe on my right foot was swollen when I took them off. I also cannot stand the lacing system on these shoes. It is 100% inferior to traditional laces. If you’re going to buy these shoes, go up half a size.

Another great shoe
I have two pairs of these, gore-tex and non-gore-tex. Today it rained and I finally took these gore-tex versions out of the box. When I first received these, I was concerned because they were slightly tighter than the non-gore-tex version when trying the two versions on. Having a medium wide foot, some shoes can be a bit uncomfortable over time. Luckily, taking the chance paid off for me. On my early morning walk with the dog, well over an hour and many steps, they became more and more comfortable as the walk went on. My feet stayed dry and happy all day, even after I used them for two additional walks in the rain. I like them I hope others will enjoy them as much as I do already. I have many Salomon products and I'm super happy with all of them.
