Why We Like The Salomon Shift Pro 120 AT Touring Boot
Salomon designed the Shift Pro 120 Alpine Touring Boot to clip into the revolutionary Shift MNC Bindings seamlessly for both uphill touring and rowdy downhill riding. The Shift Bindings require ski boots that can clip into tech and AT bindings, and the Shift Pro does more than just fit the bill. It's the second-stiffest and one of the lightest options from Salomon, and just like the binding, we have found that it performs well on both backcountry and resort terrain. Salomon's Coreframe insert improves terrain feedback for a surprisingly powerful downhill performance.

Not Stiff After Heating Up Shell
Pretty disappointed with this boot. I had these boots custom fit and heat molded. I've found the stiffness of the boot when leaning into the boot is not nearly a 120 flex after having the shell heated. When pushing into the shin piece while skiing you can feel the top of the boot (above your feet) collapse in. I have very wide feet and cannot fit into any boot out of the box. I regret purchasing these boots.

Perfect hybrid boot
(Take this review with a grain of salt, this is on my foot of this model the feel will be completely different for most people) I’ve been using this boot for about 2 months and I’ve been loving it. It’s great for touring and on piest. However I have a vary small ankle and low calf so I hade a lot of vertical motion in the boot and I’m currently getting some vary vary mild shin bang from needing to looses the buckles. I fixed the vertical movement with a custom foot bed and a 4mm heel lift in the liner. Now I only feel it when doing a nose butter. That being said this boot impressed me in every other way from the flex to the range of motion the hike mode. This is a vary impressive boot.

Great boots
This is the 4th pair of Salomon ski boots I have owned. Been skiing on various XMaxs for years 10 years.....skiing 100+ days a season. With each generation, Salomon boots get better and better. The Shift Pro continues the improvement. Great fit and sturdy as can be....well done Salomon!

Love these boots!
I bought a few weeks ago. Love the weight for riding, love the stiffness and downhill performance, and so easy to go from walk to ride. A little to heavy for extended tours.

Awesome!
I usually don’t write reviews about products but this one deserves it. I equipped myself this year with a touring setup. I have armada arv 106 skis with shift bindings. I was looking for gear that I could use both in backcountry as well as in resort and I am very impressed with these boots. They are fairly light compare to other four buckle touring boots, they sit very close to your feet and they are super comfortable. The walking mode provides a good range of motion. Great boot overall!!

Shift Pro Boot Review
Bought this boot hopefully to be the quiver killer - 4 buckle, resort worthy, pin compatible and lightweight. Super impressed with the ski-ability of the boot and the boot is impressively lightwight for a 4 buckle boot. Highly recommended!
