Fit is great, true to size, no complaints
Shoes are always 90 percent or above. I like the new color combination, washed the shoes, air dried, fit was as good as when first broke in.

Image on the website is different from the shoe
I'm a big fan of Salomon and been using Speed Cross for years, until version 6 which has a large "SPEED CROSS" print on top of the shoe. I saw the pictures on the website and thought they had removed that print, but to my surprise, it is still there! What a disappointment.

GTX Version is Smaller
Before buying on-line, I was able to find the non-GTX version locally to ensure proper fit/size given past experiences with Salomon size variability. Unfortunately, the GTX version is a much tighter fit. When sizing I wore the same style socks too. Suggest ordering a half size larger if choosing GTX version.

Not as advertised
The shoe that I have received is different from the website pictures, it has Speed Cross written on it and the colors are different. This is false advertising.

Fantastic do-it-all shoe
There are only 2 gripes I have about these shoes. The first is the fit: they are about a half size too long- I usually wear a 13 and that is what I ordered. There is almost a half inch of space at the toe, which is a bit more than there should be. The second is the wear on the bottom sole. I have worn them for almost a year and a half, and certainly am not gentle on them, so perhaps that is why the grip wears the way it has. I would wager I have a solid 9 months of wear left on this pair, which is very good, all things considered. The upper and Gore-Tex lining are still intact. They are certainly a tough shoe. Concerning comfort, they are fantastic in that regard. Besides the extra toe space, they fit very well, and break in took maybe a day. I use them for hiking, lifting, range days and just about everything else, and they take great care of my feet.

Best Speed Cross yet
I have owned many versions of the speed cross over the years and this is the best one so far. Love the style and especially the fit. Glad to see Salomon designed this shoe a little wider in the fore foot. This was a change I was glad to see. About 200 miles on them so far and they are my “old faithful “ go to shoe for mountain and trail up here in Alaska. Thanks Salomon! Keep up the good work!

Good shoe, one flaw
Broke these in prior to a 4 day backpacking trip in mountains. Overall I am happy. However, there is a line where the sole meets the rest of the shoe that creates a ridge on the heel. On day 3 it began rubbing and gave a blister. I can run my finger along the line and feel the change that causes the rub.

Goretex Speedcross 6
Size 14 for my 15 year old nephew! And his feet are still growing. He says they are pretty comfortable and he wears them most every day.
