Great Shoe
This is my 6th pair of salomon speedcross shoes and I have no plans for buying any other shoe. I use them for everything from playing with my kids to climbing mountains. The debris mesh keeps most of the june grass seeds out of my socks. The quick lace makes this shoe a transformer. It goes from a causal shoe that goes one easy then you tighten the lace and you are ready for a 25 mile day in the backcountry.

I have been using these shoes to climb all over the granite in my neighborhood. The sole grip is amazing.

Great shoe! - I wish the pictures were accurate
I ordered the Black / Phantom version of this shoe. They fit me great and they are extremely comfortable and practical. I have no complaints about the shoe itself or the way it performs. However, be aware that, at least in my case, the product I received was not exactly as depicted by the pictures on the website. The pictures show the "Black / Phantom" version as having a solid black top. The shoes I received have the "Speedcross 6" stamped in huge letters across the entire shoe. - You would think it is not a great deal, but it effectively prevents me from wearing them in some circumstances.

You had me at 4's
I've been getting through 2 pairs of Speedcross a year since the 3s and I think for me, these are the worst. I run a lot in wet UK conditions and struggling with this model. There's too much movement in the toe box (I nearly cut my circulation off tightening to compensate) so I've lost a lot of confidence on downhills and technical terrain. Also felt as though the soles are more flexible so ended up feeling quite bruised under foot. 4ls are still the best, I'll be staying to snag a couple of pairs.

Do their job well but fit is surprising
Intermediate trail runner, needed high drop shoes (achilles issues) with good grip for grass/mud marathon. Tried them on a 25k trail run, mixed terrain. Traction on grass and mud is absolutely superb, and they don't accumulate mud. Compared to my road to trail Pegasus trail it's a world apart. They feel very precise and stable on the descents. But they are somewhat narrow and have a high arch on the inside of the foot. Ended up giving me minor pain on the outside of the peroneus tendon, probably should have gotten the wide version. Also shoes are ok but a bit uncomfortable on rocks (not what they're for) as you can feel every rock under your feet. On road they're surprisingly okay despite the huge lugs, a few kms left no visible damage to the lugs. Seem well built overall. Takeaway: if you're looking for precise technical shoes with absolute max traction on mud/grass with high drop and somewhat reasonable cushioning, they're perfect. But ideally try them out in a shop first as the shape is opiniated.

Speedcross 6 is amazing
I’m a size 14. Have tried multiple shoes as I prep for my PCT thru hike next March. I’ve been using my Salomon Speedcross 6 pair for a month and they are perfect. Sturdy, light, and beyond comfortable. I just ordered three more pairs to family can forward them to me.

Trail walking
I don’t use them for running but I do/will use them for trail walking and hiking. They are light and comfortable. An excellent buy if I may say so myself 😁
