Great Shoe, But I'm Not Happy
I have always been a happy Solomon customer, but am not so happy with this purchase. The Speed Cross 6 seems to live up to Solomon, but had I known that I was going to be a walking/running advertisement when I wore them I never would have bought them. They have Speed Cross 6 in very large letters covering the whole top of the shoe. I double checked the website to see if it was something that I overlooked, but didn't see any lettering in the pictures. I don't want to complain, but this is something that I find bothersome about most items of quality today. Again, I have been happy with every Solomon shoe I have purchased. I like the shoe but don't like being a billboard.

Keep making them and I'll keep using them
Super-grippy and the most comfortable shoe I've ever used for long walks/hikes. Remains very comfortable and supportive after 20, 25, 30+ kms. As long as they keep making them, I'll keep using them. One "fyi", the great grippiness comes at the cost of some durability with the sole, so try to keep to the trails or understand you'll need to replace them more frequently. Still worth a 5-star, notwithstanding

Speedcross 6, great!
Salmon speedcross 6 are great trail shoes, unfortunately the wide ones only come in black n gray for this model year, i would buy more if there were more colors.

Speedcross wide
I love the shoes. The tie system works perfectly with the elastic supported tongue. The tread is chunky and flexible and the fit is great

I consistently buy these shoes at least once or twice a year and cycle through them due to their fit, finish and overall look. LOVE THESE SHOES!

Dreadful quality! Probably the worst I've owned.
Well, got these a while back as an occasional shoe. I tend to buy a good walking shoe for walking, as in good walks, and have a pair of demoted shoes as dog walking shoes. Walking boots are amongst the few things in life I spend a bit on in the hope of finding quality, and looking after my feet etc. Had these as occasional good walsk, probably been out 10 times in 6 months, the heel went as the material used is cheap. Behind the material is a horribly sharp heel, that cuts your feet no warning. Had these replaced under warranty, the 2nd pair have done the exact same thing in less walks. Lost confidence in them, wouldn't wear them but even with minimal wear, the same thing has happened. They're in the bin now as I'm out of the 2 year warranty, but trust me when I say these were am occasional grippy shoe for a good walk. I've had gym trainers that I've battered a good few times a week that are still perfect. Stay away from these and I'd suggest this brand. They're cutting costs with cheap materials and your feet and bank ballance will pay the price.

Good stuff
The wide form factor is the best about the speedcross line. I don't understand why it's in such limited quantity. The shoes are great but the laces don't last long...
