Amazing boot!
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times

I am between a size 12 and a 12.5. I have a super narrow and flat foot. These boots are a little big in the toe box for me; I used to wear Nike Zoom Force boots. My toes would smash the front of my boot on my size 12's, and 12.5's end up being too big. The heel lock technology keeps my heels back in these, and keeps them snug. But this boot is fantastic. It is lace up liner and lace up outer boot; which I've grown to like. The Boa is a heel lock feature that is 100/100 amazing. It is a mid flex boot that softens somewhat quickly after about 2-3 days, but that heel lock makes them stiffer and more responsive. It is very adjustable to the preference of your day. Maybe the heel lock technology is old and I'm just now trying it, but it's awesome. I'll never go back. I think Nidecker has a similar tech. I'll be searching for a heel lock in hopefully a more narrow boot in the future. I find in normal Boa boots that tighten the boot outside and liner are difficult to get in and out of for the day. These boots are suuuper easy to get in and out of once you pop open the Boa release. Don't go cheap! Get these boots, or at least find ones with the heel lock tech. Game is changed.

Wanted to love it
I was excited for this boot and thought in theory how great it sounded. Not sure if they're going off a different last this year as I have worn Salomon boots for the last 20 years and they have always been a dialed in fit with zero heel lift. These boots just fit different and just feel a little sloppy. The boa and the lacing loosen up after a run or two. I've tried different ways of doing them up but will most likely be looking for different boots next year which is disappointing as I loved the ability to change the flex and customize them for different riding.
