These are amazing, I have done a little running but mostly walking and they are super comfy. I wore them for walking around Scotland and I made an excellent choice.

Fantastic durability and great ride

Huge fan of the Thundercross, they fit very well and have the grip needed for technical trails. The rocker design helps a lot on long runs and is still lively in shorter distances. Best of all the outer laminated overlays on the upper are great protection against roots and rocks. Most of my other shoe uppers blowout on the sides from abrasive rocky trails, but these have over 300mi and zero signs of holes. Hoping these GORE-TEX versions will be a nice addition for winter runs. I am 6'2" 200lbs and use these for 5-50k runs.

Perfect for walking the pup

Ive had these for about a month and have run 20 some miles in them as well as wearing them around in my day to day. The shoe is well built and I think it will last. GTX works well on wet trails and grass. 2 things to note. 1) The tongue could be a big larger. it gets sucked down into the shoe and can cause wear on your ankle. 2) the lugs are huge and can catch things on the side. They have caught on roots and rocks causing my foot to be thrown off its intended path.

These are the best Salomon shoes I've purchased to date and I've owned 10 or so pairs over the years. Great fit and I have a slightly wide foot, they are not narrow like the one review states! Super waterproof and outstanding grip in any condition. Since they are GorTex, they might be a bit warm for summer months so I'll use these for 3 seasons out of the year. Go out and get yourself a pair, you won't be disappointed!
