Sizing is off
I wear an 8.5 in Speedcross, so I assumed the Thundercross would be the same. they are not. It appears they are perhaps an entire size or size and a half off. I am disappointed I have to send these back and wait for a new pair in my size.

This is my 3rd pair of the Thundercross. I initial purchased these because I found my Lone Peaks by Altra weren't great on the wet muddy trails. But now I been running in these on all type of trails and have become my favorite! I have wide feet and found these pretty roomy I did size up 1/2 size to give me a little extra room in the toe box.

Not as good as Speedcross
I’ve worn these for about a week, averaging about 5 miles/day in them. My heels got torn up on the first day, and I’ve been wearing bandaids ever since. I’m hoping that I’ll be able to break them in soon. I never had this problem with my old Speedcross 6 shoes. Also, I feel like the fit is not quite as good. The toe box seems smaller. I’ll go back to the Speedcross next time.

Great Shoe
I switched from the Speedcross (which is also a great shoe) over to the thundercross because I do more walking than running. This shoe feels more stable to walk in but still has the grip of a good trail running shoe. Highly recommended.

comfortable and sturdy
I bought this style as the usual pair I buy was discontinued. To my surprise, I love them better than the usual pair I buy!. I love the traction and support of this style.

Blisters!!! Beware
Don’t get these, had horrible blisters on my toes and heels after 2 miles. Switched shoes to finish out the hike.

Comfy, but runs big
I tried these shoes on once I had received them. I noticed that they run almost a size and a half too big for my feet. I did read the find my size page before purchasing and 7.5 is usually my size and should of been. Other than that, they are super comfy and cute!

I have about 6 pairs of these. Ran a bunch of 55k, ran the TMB in them. Have the gortex too. The transition from hoka Speedgoat to this was so easy. The drop is the same the shoe can handle anything and the lugs are way more intense than hokas. No wimpy mid foam in the bottom this is a good quality sole. Awesome rock protection during Eiger race and GTC. Stable, reliable, the one thing they could improve is the garage, I wish it went from the top like the Slab ultra Trail FDH. Wear the shoes for about 15 miles to really decide how tight you want them.

Good cushion & lower drop for non-technical trail
I have high arches & insteps and most cushioned shoes these days seem to made for flat feet, with a big drop, high stack hieght and low instep, which don’t work. These shoes fit the bill nicely for highly cushioned shoes for people with high arches and insteps. These shoes ar super comfy for long miles on good trails, but as expected due to the stack height and soft cushioning aren’t great on technical and super steep terrain. Also I had to size down 1/2 from my normal size in Salomon and other brands of running shoes Only real complaint is these aren’t summer shoes. They are noticeable hot when wearing when above 70* and I think sacrifice some needed breathaability for durability.
