NOT WATERPROOF AND LACES ARE AWFUL
Bought these shoes about 2 months ago and I have worn them about 10 times. I wear them for about 2km a day walking to and from work and I have worn them on a couple of rainy days but nothing too crazy. I avoid all puddles and somehow the shoes have still had water get in from the toe area in some way. Any minimal amount of wetness seems to find its way into the shoe whether it’s light or heavy rain. Extremely disappointed as someone who owns 5 pairs of Salomon shoes. I understand they aren’t a goretex model but still are meant to be waterproof and they can barely make it through a small bit of wet ground.

Warm, secure, and dry!
I love these. I have (too) many pairs of Salomon shoes, each with there own agenda. These have been butting in to everyone else's business and taking over as a one shoe fits all tasks.

Good alternative to the XA Pro 3D
I have purchased about 10 pairs of XA Pro 3D. Insanely solid shoe that is water proof to the end of days. I bought a pair of the V9 last year and they are so incredibly narrow. Can’t wear them. Bought Gore ASICS and they leaked out of the gate. These new shoes fit like the older versions and so far are waterproof. I am hopeful the new tech will keep them that way.

Amazing Durability
This has been a very great shoe, I purchased in May of 2024 and took it right to my first Spartan Canada event for the year. Since than I have a recording of 700km plus with an additional 200-250km before the end of 2024 with them. The lace design has held up excellent and has always kept my foot in the shoe excellent. Material of the shoe has last excellent with no tears or cracking, even with all the abuse I have put them through. (Rock, mud, sand, water) Spartan racing is really hard on the foot and the shoe and this shoe hasn't let me down yet. I have however lost a decent amount of tread on the one shoe around the top of the foot (see last Pic) but I don't hold this against the shoe with the distance and abuse I have put these through. Overall I'm sold and will be getting another pair of Solomon (Cross 6) for the new year 2025 of trail racing anyone with the 4 kids who all do the same.

Great shoe poor shoelaces

Like a gentle hug around the feet
Got my father a black pair, size 8.5 and it fit him perfectly. He described as a gentle hug around the feet, good cushioning and light. While he hasn't had the chance of wearing it on the trails yet, he's been wearing it for hours in the house and almost forgot to take it off when he was going to take a nap on the sofa.

Very Good Shoes
These shoes were comfortable right out of the box. I now have two (2) pairs in different colours that I alternate to wear to work. Great shoes!

Excellent grip on loose, wet, uneven surfaces.
I needed a shoe for walking the dog. We live in a city coastal environment that is humid and wet most of the year with easy access to trails and forested areas. The shoe I was looking for had to be waterproof and have excellent grip for walking on loose, wet, or uneven surfaces. I also have a wide foot and constant trouble finding extra wide shoes. This shoe fitted my Roman style extra wide foot straight out the box. If your looking for a shoe with similiar needs as mine, then I would recommend giving it some thought and trying it on when you're in search for another shoe. Happy Trails
