Eyelits do not hold up after light use
Great comfort, look good. but after a few wears around the house and in the yard, the eyelits snapped off after i was quite careful with tightening them. disappointing to say the least, as all other aspects of the shoe are quite good.

Low quality
Got tears inside after less than 4 months of light usage couple of times a week.

Lots of potential and one large flaw
Arch support: Check Customizable Fit: Check Tough grippy outsole: Mostly check. not so great on wet rock, but very little that isn't sticky rubber is. Lace loops that last longer than one hike: Erm... Lots of potential to be a great shoe. I really like the xt-6s for walking my dog in the woods so I decided to give these a shot. Broke em in for 50 miles or so before wearing them on a hike of the pemi loop in New Hampshire. Day 1 had us walking through some streams on trail and on day 2, a couple miles into the morning, both shoes suffered the same failure, and the laces ripped through the lace loops. Ended up getting blisters in both feet on the same spot on on the ball of my feet for the remaining 10 miles which wasn't ideal. When I came home, what surprised me even more is that the xt-6 have little plastic protectors to stop just this from happening, so it felt odd that a hiking shoe wouldn't have them. Seems like an easy fix to make these a great hiking shoe for those that like the salomon fit and want something light and tough.

Comfortable,supportive and look great!
Bought these to be my everyday shoes, Needed something versatile enough for spontaneous long walks, and something that looked casual enough to be an every day trainer. Perfect! I also have plantar fasciitis and I knew from my Quest 4D hiking boots that Salomons insole shape and ortholite insole are really comfortable, supportive and alleviates my plantar fasciitis symptoms really well.

Nice walking around shoes
Second pair of Solomons bought this year, nice tight fit and what I expect with the draw string models. Only thing I would say is they are more flat footed compared to the XT-4 models, but this is a walking shoe not a running shoe. Higher arch would be better but otherwise they look awesome and very unique.

Extremely Comfortable
It is an excellent hiking shoe with great grip and comfort. I just wish they would make other legacy models in a 14!!!

Excellent shoe but bad quality.
Hi there, I’ve been using this shoe for a little over a month for hiking and walking uses. I love how grippy the shoe is and how good it looks. The speedlace is also an added bonus! While I’ve owned many pairs of Salomon Shoes with speedlace, I’ve never had a speed lace fail. I’ve had 2 pairs of these shoes and both have broke within a month on the speed lace grommet. Salomon has warrantied my previous shoe but it is still annoying. Beware that your speedlace grommet might rip out in the first month!

Amazing shoe
The Salomon X ultra 360 edge has recently become one of my favourite shoes. I went on a few hikes with them and the grip and comfort have definitely impressed me. The grip provides a lot of traction allowing me to feel comfortable and safe on rocky terrain. The comfort enables me to wear the shoe all day and enjoy my hiking experience. Along with hiking I use this shoe as an everyday walking shoe as there is a lot of support and they are very comfortable. Overall this is a highly versatile shoe and I definitely recommend it.

Great fit, poor durability
I am a long time Salomon Shoe owner. I've hiked over 600 miles in the X Ultra 3's, hiked hundreds of miles in the X Ultra 3 Goretex Mid's, and run countless trail miles in several iterations of the Speedcross Goretex. When it was time to replace my X Ultra 3's for hiking sections of the AT, I tried the new X Ultra 4 but did not like the fit. This year I saw the X Ultra 360 Edge and I ordered them. I loved them...the fit was great, like my X Ultra 3's, but maybe a roomier toebox. I took them on my recent 130 mile AT Section hike. At mile 110, one of the laces cut through one of the eyelets, leaving me with a shoe that could not be tightened. When I got home I compared the eyelets on these shoes to my other Salmon shoes, and all of my other shoes, the eyelets are reinforced with plastic tubing...on the X Ultra 360 Edge, they are simply fabric. If you're not the type to put big miles on your hiking shoes, these may work for you, but for my needs it looks like I need to start looking for different alternatives.

Getting Closer!
So as someone with a long history of wearing XA pro and X Ultras for hiking 14ers in Colorado, I was excited to try out these new 360 edge. The good: comfortable upper with outstanding X ultra outsole. Definitely a bit more mid soul cushion, then traditional X ultra. Better overall feel then ex-ultra 4s. The So So: used to love speed lace system, but I’m finding that it tends to come loose more so than in the past. Not awful, but not great. Could still used more width in forefoot and toe area. Doesn’t need to be Altra wide but more than this, especially as perimeter rand doesn’t stretch much on these. Would still like to see a softer more comfortable mid sole, something with nitrogen infused foam. Doesn’t need to be super thick just bouncier. The Bad: Seriously Salomon, 99% of the people will use this for hiking and outdoor walking WHY such a high heel toe drop?? Having such an aggressive drop like so many Solomon shoes do, forces your foot forward, jamming toes into an already narrow toe box. No hiking shoe need more than a 4 mm drop. Listen to your reviews Solomon and stop the drop! Lastly, Solomon has started using cheaper Ortholite insoles versus the ones they previously did. These insoles are a lower quality and do not have the perimeter transition foam around the edges like the old ones. For shoes this expensive just use the good Ortholite insoles.
