Brilliant boots
I bought these to walk in the snow and they've been great - comfprtable, warm and dry. What more could you ask? Oh, and they look good too!

Comfortable and well made
I bought these for a trip to Wyoming because of the recommendation for snow. Honestly, also because my favorite author Jack Carr speaks highly of the brand. They are very well made and fit great (I did have to go with the wide version). The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that they didn't keep my feet very warm... and I do not usually have a problem with cold feet. I will say that I live in a place that hardly ever sees snow though.

Finally a wide fitting, comfortable and waterproof Boot! How many years and pairs of boots I’ve been through and one after another been let down. I’ve had these about a month, I wear them twice a day every day and so far I can only say 10/10, I can’t find a single fault. Go get a pair, now

Great boots with one area of concern
As far as fit these are my goldilocks boots - I hade wide feet with a high arch and in 8.5 wide these fit better than any other lightweight boots I've tried. I like that they're light and flexible enough but still give good support. The soles are nice and grippy and so far they're truly waterproof. On the first pair I got, after just 50 miles or so, one of the plastic eyelets popped out when tightening the laces. To Solomons credit they stood by their warrantee and I got a new pair quickly and with little fuss, but I do have concerns about quality control. Time will tell.

Absolutely Best Shoe Ever
I cannot say enough about this boot. So happy they make a wide now as I’ve worn oversized Salomon for years but bought sized up. Now, with the wide it’s a perfect boot. I have worn Salomon’s on tour in Iraq as a light infantrymen, and I’ve worn them over the years for hiking and even just everyday wears. They are just top notch. Please Salomon, make the green/kelp color pattern in wide too!!! I would immediately buy another pair. And thank you for making the wide!!!!

Great looking, comfortable and great grip.

Awesome hiking boots
I have purchased this specific hiking boot continuously for the last five years, since before covid 19. These are stable flexible rugged and waterproof. They have good arch supports. I wear them walking around construction sites and in the bottom of water reservoirs for hours. I definitely recommend them.

Great if you've got narrow feet
The X ULTRA 4 MID WIDE GORE-TEX is the narrowest fitting 'wide fit' I've come across. I was delighted to find that Salomon made a wide fit version, I wanted a new lightweight boot but can't wear the usual standard fit. Unfortunately, having tried to wear them 3 times for my 7 - 10 mile walks, I've limped painfully home each time. There's not sufficient width in the toe box for my foot. The boots look great, I love the lightness, there's no fault on them, and I'd love to use them. They're just not as wide as the 'wide fit' boots they would have replaced and too painful to wear.

very comfortable and stable shoes
the shoes are incredibly comfortable and perform very well. used them for long hikes 30km+ and my feet did not hurt.
