Stout, Light, Reliable Oars
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
- Size Bought:
- 9 foot
I bought these because of the length and lightness. Being a wood oar snob for so long it was hard to make the jump to carbon fiber, but this was a good jump. Interested to see how the finish takes exposure to sunshine and salt water. I like the turned wood handles and grip. I like the branding on the shaft, but not so much on the blades. The standard blades pulled well. The wrapped shaft was in the right position for the oar lock. The rubber collar donut stays put. I put a good 3 miles on them my first time out, and they felt good, nice to balance and pull. The wrapped shaft feathered nicely. Looking forward to getting another set for both rowing stations to pull together.
