Why We Like The Boostic Climbing Shoe
When we're looking for precision on microscopic edges, we pull on Scarpa's Boostic Climbing Shoe. The aggressive downturn and heel-to-toe rand put the power in our toes while the heel's design disperses force for super secure hooks when you're locking off.

Climbing 12s
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
This is by far the best shoe for climbing 12s or higher with a wide foot

No longer the micro edging machine :(
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
Scarpa really did us a disservice. This shoe is not the technical, small-edge machine it used to be. It feels just like so many other shoes on the market. Note that all scarpa big wall athletes still do their hardest sends in og Boostics to this day....

Not the same shoe:(

The new boostic is a great shoe, but it will be disappointing for those who loved the old model for its support. The new version is a very different shoe that is quite a bit softer. Sad to see such a drastic change.

I never owned the old version, so I can?t make a comparison between the two. But I really like these shoes. They are confidence inspiring. I can stand on tiny footholds and not worry about it. It?s nice to see a stiff performance shoe for a change. I like soft shoes for steep indoor climbing. But I definitely prefer a stiffer more supportive shoe for climbing outdoors. I?ve been using these for about a month now. They required almost zero break in. The sizing is pretty consistent with the other Scarpa shoes I?ve owned. To me, they seem like they run a little smaller than the Vapors. Maybe 1 full size at the most. I wear a 45.5 in Vapor V?s. And I got 45?s in the Boostic. And I wear a size 12 street shoe. The 45?s are a good and tight fit on my feet. And they don?t hurt my feet either. I?ve used them all day long on a couple weekend sport climbing trips, and my feet never bothered me. I have definitely found my new favorite climbing shoes.

Totally different

Much softer than the old parrot Boostic. It's no longer uniquely supportive for routes w/ lots of tiny feet; now is very similar to many other shoes like Instinct, Muira VS, Otaki, etc. Out of that field the VS is my favorite. Sad to see the old not be replaced even though new is good shoe in its own right
