Why We Like The Scarpa Zodiac Tech GTX Mountaineering Boot
When we are pushing for the summit, no ordinary boots will cut it. The Scarpa Zodiac Tech GTX Mountaineering Boot is one of our go-to boots for bagging peaks and alpine excursions. Featuring a leather and Perwanger suede upper and fitted with a GORE-TEX waterproof membrane, the Zodiac Tech GTX Mountaineering Boot is ready to handle deep snow and wet conditions. Vibram Pentax Precision XT tread and Mont rubber compound excel on steep and slippery terrain, and the midsole combines heel, forefoot, and medial inserts for maximum support and shock absorption. Lastly, the extended rubber rand wraps around the lower half of the boot to ward off abrasions from rocks and helps to keep our boots warmer and drier.
