Tried & True!
In the past, I've owned the older iteration of this duffel for use on my motorcycle's rear top rack and it has always worked flawlessly. I look forward to using this one as well.

Trash zipper pull, good bag.
The zipper pull is attached by a thin string. The string doesn’t hold up to opening and closing the beefy zipper. The string holding the T handle on mine broke at week 2 of my 4 week trip in remote Alaska. Giving it 2 stars because the bag itself is great.

You won't find a better bag.
Beautiful bag, terrific craftsmanship, everything functions exactly as it should. It's exactly what you expect from the pros at Seal Line.

Disappointed
I purchased the pro zip for a 43 day canoe trip in Canada’s north. Within the first day the zipper broke and the quality along the seams of the bag appears to be quite poor compared to other products in this price range.

Well Designed duffel
This zip duffel is well-made and the addition of shoulder straps makes it even better than the previous 2 zippered duffels I have owned. Also the zipper seems to be better reinforced where it is stitched to the main fabric making it hopefully even more durable.

My Favorite Daily Use Bag
Took my 70L on two dirty, sandy multi-day trips: Desolation Canyon on the Green, and a month in the Grand Canyon. For the latter trip, I used this as my day-to-day bag to access my tent, camp clothes, small camp chair, etc.. I was fearful about the zipper getting compromised with all the sand and frequent access. It didn't fail on me once- and it withstood my constant stuffing it to the gills with last minute stuff. Highly recommend to folks who want something they can trust and are tired of getting cramped hands from other types of closures. I do recommend keeping a toothbrush and some T-Zip handy just in case. Also loved the backpack feature for fewer trips unloading the boats!

No warranty
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Zipper broke after one trip. Send request for warranty replacement and they said they'd get back to me in 4 months. Finally I bugged them enough they said just to send it in. I did and they sent back the broken bag saying "zippers broke but we can't fix it". Yeah so where's my new bag? No communication since. Poor quality and zero warranty.

Great canoe pack for longer trips
Tough stuff. Waterproof! Easy to pack, load and carry. Held bulk of gear (not food) for a 8-day paddle in the North Cascades. Fits perfectly crosswise in a 18' Jesen canoe (narrow boat). Should fit most any tandem canoe. Carry straps work great for short distances, I might consider a pro pack for longer portages, but up to a mile or so should be fine. Appreciate the straps to tie on extra stuff. Would be nice to have a couple of simple interior pockets, but using multiple stuff sacks works fine and is more versatile.
