Why We Like The Talon Bike Rack
SeaSucker's best-selling roof rack for a reason, the Talon Bike Rack is a workhorse carrier that fits just about any vehicle thanks to the three vacuum cups (each rated up to 210-pound pull-strength) that secure themselves to your roof, trunk, or back glass in minutes, and without leaving a mark. This fork-mount style rack employs a rear-wheel strap to secure your bike's back tire, while the 1/2-inch thick HDPE body bolsters strength and durability, ensuring a smooth ride to and from the trailhead. SeaSucker also included a spare pump in case one of yours goes missing, as well as a five-gram bottle of Lube Tube to keep your vacuum pump well maintained.

Game Changing Mount
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
These are in fact game changing for me. This rack is inexpensive, rock solid once mounted and very versatile as far as placement. Can easily be swapped between just about any vehicle with a flat surface you can think of. Can be mounted on back glass of SUV or car and of course any roof with a flat surface. I watched an instruction video and had mine mounted the first time in under 3 minutes. It was so easy, I was second guessing myself that I had something wrong. Removal is under a minute. Each suction cup holds 200 lbs so combined you have 600lbs of holding force. By far the greatest pros are the ease of installation, ability to easily remove and use on another vehicle and price. Axle/skewer is sold separately by the way so please make note of that when ordering.

Works great, but should include adapter
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Initial impression is that it works just as expected on my car. However, I find it very annoying that no adapters are included for the front mount. The adapter is a small plastic component used to fit either a quick release or different thru-axle sizes. Without it, the Seasucker can't be used... yet none are included. Each adapter must be separately purchased for $20 (yes, the price is very inflated for a piece of plastic). Seasucker should *at least* make it more clear that no adapter is included. I thought the thru-axle one was at least included and was surprised to open the box and find none. Ideally, Seasucker would just include one of each adapter, or offer the option to choose one to include.

Mount not included
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
The pictures and description indicate the 9mm QR mount is included. This was not the case for the product that was shipped to me, so expect to spend additional money to get that and add it to your cart so you don't have to wait another few days to arrive before being able to use your rack. Otherwise, the product itself is fine. Do your research and make sure it fits your needs, but I can move this between any of my vehicles and, combined with my trunk rack, I can carry all of my family's bikes at once since the kids' bikes no longer fit inside the car ;)

THE answer for rental cars
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
We have both two of these singles and a double version for travel. But the singles are the best bet, take one for each bike. Haven’t seen a rental car they don’t fit and they work great. Two of these go in our bike equipment duffel and on the plane it goes with checked in with our bike cases. They work great. Had them up to 75mph with no issues. Each suction cup has 210lbs of “suck” or 630 for the whole rack. You’d tear the roof off before they let go. H
