A reinforced toe cap protects against rock strikes, and an EVA midsole and shank plate absorb impacts, provide stiffness for power transfer, and combine with Shimano's TORBAL 2.0 torsional midsole for excellent edge flexibility when cornering. A BOA dial closure system makes for an effortless and secure closure, and Shimano's Ultread GE rubber compound provides exceptional grip in cold and wet conditions.

Versatile all weather flat pedal shoe.

I purchased these 2 weeks ago and one look and try on I knew I had a top tier flat pedal shoe for all conditions. From the perfect fit and easy lacing system to the elastic around the ankles to keep your feet dry and clean. I own a pair of Shimano GR9 flat pedals shoes which have been the best pair of shoes I’ve owned on flat pedals. The GFX 800 looks like and definitely feels like it will be my go to pedals for all conditions.One ride and I’m convinced, waterproof, plenty warm and super sticky on my pedals. They also clean right up after a day of hard riding. Highly recommend the shoes if you ride with flat pedals you can’t go wrong.

I bought this shoe since it’s often wet in the east coast. It’s performs exceptionally well in wet and dry conditions and I have found that it was not too hot on 20-35 mile rides even in the mid 80’s
