Narrow - Does not fit like a Wide Shoe
- Familiarity:
- I returned this product before using it
Very tight in toebox. Even though it is supposedly a wide fit, it is narrower than my 6 year old Shimano TR32 shoes.

Perfect fit and stiffness
I have a slightly wide right foot most cycling shoes are too narrow. The regular width versions of these are too narrow. These fit perfectly, and are stiff enough for all my cycling needs.

Definitely not wide
- Familiarity:

Shimano used to make excellent wide cycling shoes. Then they changed their lasts and now the normal shoe is narrow (B or C) and the wide shoe is normal (D) and there is no EE or 2EE shoe. I wish I had bought a 2nd pair 10 years ago.

Nice shoes but not that wide.

Well made shoes. The length pretty much matches Sidi and specialized. The problem with these is that they aren’t that wide. They are almost slightly wider than a normal cycling shoe. The specialized torch 3 s-works, vented, feels wider but that might be due to the vented fabric at the balls of your foot. Regardless, as my foot expands while riding, I’d feel pressure build up at the sides for sure with these shimanos. The cycling industry has to do a better job with standardization of shoe sizing at the very least specifying shoe sizes better because 42 wide doesn’t cut it. The first company that does that will most certainly get all the sales. Online sales will surely force them in this direction. Until then the search continues.

Great Cycling Shoes
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
Bought these Shimano RC702 as a second pair of road cycling shoes, Great Fit and Finish 41 wide, Love the double boa does hold my feet in place real secure! I've taken some suggestions on replacing the footbeds with better more comfortable one and what a difference those new footbeds do to an already great cycling shoe!! Also the heel is carbon so no flexing at all!!
