Backcountry is Fantastic!

I had an issue where these shows did not nicely fit. I contacted Backcountry Customer Service. The Return and Replace was immediately processed, NO Hassle. I got my shows sooner than expected.

Don’t last long

I’ve really liked these shoes and bought them 3 times, but they seem to fail pretty quickly. I use them for mountain biking, XC as well as more technical backcountry riding, and the front soles start peeling off in less than a year without fail. The kicker was my most recent pair started peeling away after about 4 months and then the Boa cord snapped so they were no longer usable. I’m trying out a different shoe now similarly priced from Fizik that seems better.

I’ve been riding mountain bikes for a VERY long time and these are the Goldilocks. Fit is great with excellent heel retention. Single BOA and a velcro strap makes adjustments simple. Sole is plenty stiff for power transmission without being uncomfortable for all day rides. Good grippy soles (unlike Sidi) for those times you have to hike a bike. And made from a sturdy material that is easy to clean. Just a great all around shoe.
