Replaced my S-Phyres
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
- Size Bought:
- 43 wide
I have used the XC7 shoes for years with no problems. I decided to upgrade to the S-Phyres and immediately didn’t like the shoe. They hurt my feet after riding only 30 miles, so couldn’t imagine doing a big day in the S-Phyres. We had a short hike-a-bike and the bottom of the S-Phyres were completely shredded after only 30 days of use. I warrantied them and went back to the XC702 and noticed the difference immediately. I’ve been wearing them for 2 months now, and am super happy with the fit and feel. The bottom of the XC702 has ample sole coverage for the occasional hike-a-bike.

great shoes
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
Great fit, wide is perfect. Love the Boa. Had other Boa with hot spots. Not so with these. Well made. Happy!

perfect for wide and not voluminous
- Familiarity:
- I returned this product before using it
I bought these because I have wide feet and currently use Fizik Tempo Overcurve R4 wide road shoes but wanted a pair for my gravel bike. I really wanted these to work but another problem that people with wide feet have is fat and large feet all around... The top strap dug into the top of my foot/ankle when I tried the shoes on. Had to return. If you have wide but not voluminous feet you should be golden!

Light and stiff
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Inner material has a great improvement and will def keep out the dust. The flap more comfortable. This will be an easier break in for me. Stiff and light with a good foot brace. Minimal movement of the foot when doing the pull movement. Not sure if the strips on it are reflective. I hope they are. The tension of the Boas don't crumple the area over the toes.
