Hirobel Frame Clamp
You're moving up in the world. You've got a sleek steed, and a decently loaded tool bench for working on it — and hell, you even threw down to get yourself a snazzy repair stand. And while fixes have gotten easier with your new setup, there's always room to take improvements a little bit further, and Silca's Hirobel Frame Clamp does just that. The Hirobel connects to your bike, in order to more evenly distribute weight. It features two adjustable mounts that offer a boost in stability, while reducing possible damage to thin-walled and oddly shaped tubing. This makes it the perfect partner to your sleek carbon bike, or heavy and oddly shaped beach cruiser. Strategically shaped, paint-friendly cones and bindings cradle your bike at frame intersections where wall thicknesses are typically thicker, and forces can be distributed over a larger surface area. And due to the long, horizontal shape, you can clamp to your repair stand closer to your bikes natural center of gravity, which improves stability, and locating the drivetrain higher to help reduce back strain when you're wrenching away.

Great addition to the home workshop
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
Clamps the bike a lot more secure than just by the seat post, which has a tendency to rotate. Enables putting the bike at any angle. Plus it distributes the load more evenly to the strongest parts of the frame where the tubes meet. I’m a lot more comfortable leaving the bike on the stand for a couple days strapped into the Hirobel as opposed to just hanging by the seat post. Especially for more expensive bike frames.

Straps tear too easy
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
This clamp has been great for protecting my client?s frames, but the only issue I have is that the straps tear easily. I have had them replaced once already and now another one is tearing. I bought this before Silva became the owners straight from a Hirobel rep when I worked for Conte?s Bike Shop in Virginia Beach. Has there been any improvement in the material that is used for them? Other than that the clamp does an excellent job of handling the job it was created for every time.
