Why We Like The Simms Freestone Boot
Trudging through a river is hard work—and hard on boots—which is why we like the Simms Freestone Boot. The uppers feature a sturdy combination of waterproof synthetic leather and scratch rubber for abrasion-resistance and time-tested durability for hiking riverbanks and negotiating unseen hazards on the river bottom. The rubber outsoles give us good wet and dry traction while the partial neoprene lining insulates and cushions our feet alongside the soft, EVA foam midsoles. We can wear these boots with any stockingfoot-style waders or pair them with the Simms Freestone Stockingfoot Waders for a perfectly matched set.

Good Boots, fits great but no owner manual
Good boots so far. I'm a regular 10 and 10 fits perfect. BUT I didn't get any manual owner booklet. Not sure if it's the store or Simms. Always good to know how to maintain. I install studs only for grip. Should I install studs on the area where it's pre market for cleats??? For me to guess and try I guess!!!

Boot upgrade
Broke these in on a 2-day trip in the Driftless spent guiding 7 other anglers. Tons of miles in and out of streams. Boots performed flawlessly and offered an upgrade in traction over my previous pair of Tributary boots. Highly recommend.

Boots
I wear a 9.5 shoe, 7 ice skate and 10 simms boots. I ordered size 9 and they were to right.

Go to wading boots
They are so solid for the price. All year long they still perform even in mossy or rocky areas.

Not as good as waders
I used them for 2 seasons, 7 days each, and they came off from the tip. This is the second time it's happened to me.

Good first impressions
I have only been out a hand full of times with these. Bought them cause my last pair of free stones last 4 years but they were definitely done after 4 years. These seem lighter than my last pair but these do seem to have a different material so only time will tell at this point.

Comfy but run very wide. We shall see how they hold up.

Freestone Boots
Awesome boots, they've been great for long walks and have really good tread so I'm not slipping on wet rocks.
