Why We Like The Simms G3 Guide Boot
Built with big-time support and durability, the Simms G3 Guide Boot gives us guide-grade performance when we're out on the river chasing our next PB. The waterproof nubuck leather uppers keep the water out while fighting off abrasions from rocks and other underwater hazards, and they cinch down snug over our stockingfoot waders to form a strong base for our waterproof system. The RiverTread outsoles help us navigate slippery conditions, and they're compatible with several studs and cleats (sold separately) for added grip for fast currents and treacherous river bottoms.

Uncomfortable fit around the ankle area. But other than that, a great rugged waiter boot.
Looks Good Shoe size fits. The soul is rugged and grippy on slippery muddy Banks uncomfortable fit around the ankle. Not sure if it’s the hardware on the outside that creates a uncomfortable feeling on your ankles. Might try a different design for more comfortable fit around the ankles. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Comfortable, sturdy and Light!
So far, so good! Love the fit and rugged construction. They feel light too. Lots of stability when walking on boulders, specialy when used with star Cleats.

I prefer the fit of the old style G3 guide boot, however these boots have been great so far

Great boots
After first time use. The most comfortable boot I have ever worn. With the Hardbite studs and star cleats they were very grippy. Now for the test of time Terry

Solid Wading Boot
Solid boot, great traction. Have only used a few times so far but love em. Little tight in the ankle but I’m sure they just need to be broken in.

Rugged New Design!
True to size but wide in the toe box??????...I bought the new g3???s to replace my older style G3???s. After hiking miles up and down a river here in Colorado, I have a couple observations. 1. The old style are more molded to your feet and feel like an extension of you. The new G3???s feel more flat footed and feet tend to slide around a little while hiking these mountains in Colorado; but they do have more room in the toes so they stay warmer. The new Goodyear welt soles are FAR more rugged and will Fix the primary issue I had with the old G3???s. The old ones had glued on soles and rubber around the side that will start to peel and separate from the boot after years of abuse. The new ones are comfortable but feel heavier. They have excellent traction in the water and the wider soles do give more stability and traction while wading. Overall I have high hopes for these boots once they break in. I love the durability and room in the toes. I love the traction in the water.
