Why We Like The G3 Guide Jacket
Whether or not you spend upwards of 300 days a year on the water, you want gear that won't let you down when you do get to spend some quality time on the river. With its three-layer GORE-TEX shell, the Simms G3 Guide jacket handles everything from drizzly days on the Olympic Peninsula to storm days in the Rockies. A burly 70-denier face fabric resists the wear and tear only a river can dish out, while its fully adjustable hood lets you hunker down when the rains fall on a slant. We appreciate how the water-resistant Dry Cuffs seal out water when you release your catch, and the myriad pockets along the front of the jacket give you a place to keep a couple of fly boxes close at hand.

Fits great. Super high quality. Little bit longer in the body than the old one I had and that is a good improvement for wearing around town. Love it!!!

Not for guides
The jacket is great; however it should to be improved in the following ways: The giant logo on the sleeve is ugly and unnecessary. Please remove. The orange hood is ugly and unnecessary. (Why is Simms making jackets so anglers can be seen by helicopter pilots, or anyone/thing else? At best it’s counterintuitive to being stealthy and unnoticeable to fish and game; at worst it’s catering to elitist anglers. Thee designs are Ty for guides… Guides using helicopters carry technology these days to be found, and red flags still exist.)

Great jacket if you are a serious fisherman
Warm and very comfortable. I fish all day and this is by far the best jacket to use!

Haven't had a chance to use it as it's winter up here but the fit is roomy in an XL which will allow for layers underneath.

Great Outer Shell
Very lightweight and enough room to wear your puffy underneath.

Great outdoor features. Yet, I was very surprised when I noticed there is no net clip on the back. A must have in my opinion. It's the first time I experienced something like this with a fishing jacket.

Awesome gear addition!
I wore this jacket on a salt water trip in chilly weather and it was amazing as a top layer wind break. Very well made. Great features. Happy I made the investment.

This is the best jacket I have ever bought. Heavy duty build construction but yet very light. Not only do I wear it with my waders fishing, but also wear it in town and every day use.
