I purchased a top and bottom base layer for northern winter sports. The fit is perfect, the material is soft and comfortable, and the quality is worth the price.

Just used it for the last month, including a trip Maine hiking, snowshoeing, dogsledding, sledding etc. I love the fit that it isn’t baggy, didn’t make me sweat when layered, and doesn’t smell after multiple days of activity - it became my go-to base layer in Maine. I really enjoy the ease of care with washing and drying and that it doesn’t “look” like a base layer. I can wear it with jeans around town and it’s really cute. It fits true to size with a bit of stretch to flatter but not be tight. I’m 5’3”, pear shaped/athletic and 130 lbs.

I am a 38C and usually wear an athletic bra that flattens my chest. I am usually a size M and sometimes a L. I sized up to a L and am happy with the fit. It's extra long in sleeves and length, but not baggy.

Color is off
I was excited to see the yellow color (marmalade heather), so even though I have lots of long underwear I bought this also. When I received it though the color is not yellow at all. It is solidly orange. So I am going to be returning the top along with the matching bottoms.

I’m on the heavier side (5’3 173) I ordered a large and it fits great. Warm but not suffocating hot. I plan to buy more. I wear it almost daily for bed.

This is a little thicker than my thinner, finer gauged merino baselayers from other famous brands. All have lasted for years, indeed I'm wearing one now, though this past summer moths ate pinholes and larger in some, despite camphor in the closets! It's not those other brands' fault, and I keep them mended, too. But you can kind of see the mends and either wear them under other stuff or for gardening. So, this new baselayer from Smartwool is a delight! Yummy thickness, not too thick, and refreshingly clean and new. I don't need to hide it under stuff but I can if I want to on a cold day. Haven't washed it yet. Must try harder to fight moths this spring!

I live in a warm weather area and travelled to ICELAND! I got this baselayer especially for the trip and it definitely came through for me (along with a few other layers)! Warm, soft, comfortable.

love these - i've tried other baselayers but they get holey and stretch out and don't last - my smartwool shirts and heavier knits have lasted for years, happy to have a couple new ones - love the new purple too
