The Smith Allure MIPS Helmet does just that, with a sleek low-profile design that will keep your freeride look on point. The in-mold construction brings you a minimalist profile without sacrificing durability, and MIPS technology utilizes a slip-plane liner to help protect your noggin from angular impacts.
Airflow climate control gives you ample vents to keep your head cool should you decide to head towards the backside for a quick bootpack, and the AirEvac 2 system drives warm air away from the front of the helmet to keep your lenses fog-free. The ear pads are soft and cozy for frigid midwinter chairlift rides, but are removable for when the snow turns to slush and spring shred shenanigans go underway.

Great fit!

I haven't had a chance to wear it on the slopes yet, but trying it on now I was happy with how well it fit. Trying other Smith models I know they tend to size smaller than other brands but this one fit perfect. Love the adjustability in the dial for added support and appreciate the optional ear coverings.

Not true to size. Too small

Pads were very soft and seemed comfy but I meticulously measured my kid's head before ordering. The helmet should fit his head but was too small.

Never Got It - Disappointed With Service

Not a review of the helmet as I have had this model in the past and love it. But I’m super disappointed in the service from Backcountry - I ordered this helmet over three weeks ago and it was never picked up by USPS. Custy service confirmed that it never shipped and was lost, but that there wasn’t a replacement available because it was sold out. They offered me a swap of another (not near as nice) helmet instead. When I asked about a comparable model, they said I could have it but I’d have to pay the difference (I ordered the first one during a big sale), which would have been over 50 bucks more. Not mad at custy service because they’re always great, but this kinda sucks and makes me feel like I’m being penalized for a mistake I didn’t make. But the helmet is great, I was ordering the same one I had before (which took enough hits that it was time to get a new one) - size chart is accurate and it’s light and super comfy!

Looks good
I love the design and look of this helmet. The only issue I have is that my head is in between the size of a small and medium so it doesn't fit quite right. If it had the dial on the back, it would be perfect. The code is the closest helmet I have seen design wise that is similar with the dial on the back of the helmet.

Best helmet
I don’t like helmets and don’t like to wear them. This helmet was great. I could forget that I had it on. I was super surprised and impressed with the comfort. You can have your headphones inside the ear flaps also. The quality of the helmet was superb.

I haven't had a chance
I haven't had a chance to use the helmet yet but it fits perfectly and is extremely comfortable. I'm looking forward to getting back to the snow so I can give it a try. I know I'll be safer wearing the helmet.

The fit is good. I wish the helmet had a knob in the back that you could adjust the fit depending if you are wearing a skull cap or not.
