Why We Like The I/O MAG XL Chromapop Goggles
The Smith I/O MAG XL Chromapop Goggles give us a wider field of vision, clearer contrast, and a more colorful outlook of snowy mountains. Plus, it also has Smith's MAG interchangeable lens system, which uses magnetic hold points and a dual-locking mechanism to quickly switch between the included bright light and low-light lenses when pesky clouds decide to hide the sun for the rest of the day. No matter the light or weather conditions we have the clarity we need, while anti-fog coating helps ensure that the only clouding going on involves unexpected snow and fresh turns.

Love them. Not quite as
Love them. Not quite as wide a field as the goggles they replace, but the magnetic catch system is a huge upgrade. Thank you Smith Optics

IO Mag XL don't necessarily fit over glasses.
I purchased the IO Mag XL as I needed new goggles, wanted something magnetic as well as a model that would fit over glasses. They are new and magnetic, but they do not fit over my glasses. For the record, my glasses are a mid-size frame and fit easily into my older pair of Smith's that are an OTG model. It's time to return and shop again.

SMITH STANDS BY THEIR PRODUCT!!
I am an expert skier with 10 years of ski patrol experience. I purchased a set of I/O Mag XL’s to try. I had a failure problem with one of the lenses and Smith stood by there product replacing the problem lense and ensuring I was satisfied. I would highly recommend Smith as a product to use for any skier/boarder level.

New glasses don't fit in XL
I bought this goggle for a trip out west in March so I have not actually used it in the dull gray northeast. The main reason I gave it a 3 rating is for the fit of the goggle over eyewear. Most eyewear has gotten larger over the last few years and it seems your I/O XL does not fit well over these new size frames. I would highly recommend that you give a description of what size glasses your goggles will accommodate. Frames are measured in millimeters from end point to end point and width across the lens area.

Label the lenses
I love the goggles, they fit great and let me see the slopes very well. I would like to see a label on the lenses telling me which lens is which. This would help me to determine, which one to ware.

Doesn't fit comfortably over my glasses.
It is uncomfortable to wear these goggles with my glasses because of how the foam gasket presses on the temples. That was the main reason that I bought the goggles, so I'm disappointed about that. They are otherwise well made, and the magnetic locking system works much better than the old I/O system. The Rose Flash photochromatic lens works well.

Good enough
The fit seems better for narrow or smaller faces, despite being a larger rx-compatible model. It just barely fits over my glasses. Field of view is just okay. Clarity is fantastic with good contrast and little distortion. The photo chromic lens works well and looks great.
