Solid helmet

The first helmet I ordered had a defective zipper. I reached out to customer service and they had a new one sent to me rather quickly. The new helmet is in good order, and everything works properly. These smith helmets with the smooth/matte coating will scratch/peel easily though. I went ahead and removed the coating completely to reveal the shiny black base. Overall, pleased with the service I recieved, and the product. 5 stars for Backcountry, 3 stars for smith.

literally have only worn this helmet a handful of times before I took one of the biggest falls I ever have. this helmet saved me from a concussion and potentially more, and I walked away like almost nothing happened. this helmet did its job but unfortunately I already need a new one!

This helmet vents great and is sized perfectly. Padding on the ear quickly breaks in for a better fit. Headphones are no issue. Wore it for 14 hours straight last trip with no pain or discomfort. Highly recommend.

Decent low end helmet

This helmet is ok for a relatively inexpensive product from a top brand. It does not have a vent to adjust temperature, and the ear coverings have too much padding (rather than a cut out for ears), which after a couple hours puts too much pressure on the ears and is uncomfortable.
