Great lenses, frames could be improved
The lenses in these glasses are probably the best on the market. The chromapop/polarized lense is amazing. I've had the first generation of these glasses and I preferred the first gen because the rubber temple pads on both sides of these glasses came unglued on me within the first few motnhs. This made putting the glasses on annoying as the ends of the rubber pads would fold over and bunch up behind my ear. I never had that problem on the 1st generation Outliers. If this could be fixed, I'd but these again without hesitation.

They were awesome

When I originally purchased these, I loved them. The polarization is great, fit is really nice as well. The nose pads are comfortable, but on a warm day they tend to get slick and the glasses tend to slide down my nose more than other glasses. Over time pads on the arms started to degrade. Just one year later and the pad on one arm has completely fallen off. For the price, I expected these to last longer. I still have Oakleys from over 10 years ago that work perfectly so this is disappointing. Back to Oakley for me.

Torn :/
Let me start by saying Smith is my favorite sunglass brand. The first ever "expensive" sunglasses I bought were the Outlier 1 and they were super amazing, loved them! Over not too long of a time unfortunately they began to get little tiny bubbles which was a manufacturer warranty. Customer Service was great when I sent them back. They gave me a credit but at this time they had moved to the outlier 2. I made a big mistake getting my replacement as the "chromapop" and not a polarized pair. I hate the glare these give off, I almost get like a weird purple tint that is really distracting when the sun is out strong. I dont like to wear them much because of this. I dont know how much the frame differs from Outlier 1, but that does seem cheaper to me as well. I do think the grey/green looks sweet and love the way they fit my face, I have a bit smaller head size and these are perfect. Overall I wouldnt recommend the chromapop and I am bummed I made a bad choice with my return/exchange!

Loved the glasses but they fell apart in 3 months
I bought the glasses in March while skiing in Beaver Creek with my family. I really liked the style but the rubber has come apart from the frame and they are now unwearable. I’m posting this in the hopes smith will review their manufacturing and correct the issue so I could purchase more pairs.

Smith outlier 2 chromapop with polarized
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
Sharp shades, for sure. The lenses are great in any kind of light, and the frames are a really cool ice tortoise design. I?ve gotten compliments on them the few times i?ve worn them already. Great price too
