Why We Like The Smith Persist MIPS Helmet
When it comes to road riding, we're not taking any chances, and that's why we turn to the Smith Persist MIPS Helmet when we head out the door. Recently updated to add the honeycomb-like Koroyd in vital zones to compliment the MIPS rotational impact system, this helmet provides all the protection we need whether we're heading out on a fast-paced lunch ride or a meandering weekend century. The AirEvac system features 21 vents for plenty of airflow at any speed and specific channels up front to give us a spot to stow our sunglasses when the sun starts to dip behind the clouds for the day.

Simple and Safe.
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
Wanted MIPS and didn't need a 300$ helmet. I use for road cycling 20-50 mile rides and its very comfortable and doesn't look like I'm wearing a mushroom. Very happy with the price point considering the comfort and safety features. Following the size guide and it was perfect.

Excellent choice, if safety is first...
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
I checked on several reviews. The first thing I looked for was my own protection and safety, second how it would fit, look and to be comfortable. And third value. Passed all my expectations, so I'm happy with my purchase. I do recommend it.

The helmet is great. But
The helmet is great. But like anything you wear, the fit is what counts. In my case, the front pushes my safety glasses down and out of my nose. My previous helmet did not have this problem. Again, I do not think it is a problem with the helmet itself, but you may want to consider visiting your Local Bike Shop (LBS) to buy a helmet you can try on with your glasses, etc.

Bought this for gravel riding
Bought this for gravel riding and love it. Great fit exactly as measured. Snug on my head and chin but not overly tight and can adjust. Very high quality build!

Fit Great - Strap subpar
The fit is great, but the strap alignment is not very good. The strap keeps loosening during rides. The look is okay but seems the helmet sits pretty high on my head. I don't really like the secondary color and wish it were all black. The quality of the helmet part is excellent though as previously mentioned the strap location and use is average to poor.

Saved my brain
I was in a crash a week ago and my helmet saved me from serious injury. I still don’t remember parts of the incident, but without the helmet, I’m sure I would have been a lot worse off.

Super helmet for the price
Know smith from my snow ski days, and this helmet meets Smith’s quality. Very comfortable and stylish. For my level of riding I’m good MPIS protection. Very happy with my purchase

Gravel Rider
I just got my helmet yesterday have not used it yet but it feels awesome. I’ve always purchased very cheap helmets before. It’s so lightweight and well designed. I put it on and it’s so comfortable. I can’t wait to try it out. Will never buy a cheap one again.
