Why We Like The So iLL Stay Climbing Shoe
From long, pump-fest roofs to techy, calculated faces, the So iLL Stay Climbing Shoe helps keep us on the wall. The aggressive profile keeps our footwork precise and our power driving into the toe, ensuring no energy is wasted when horizontal. With a soft midsole and thin rubber wrap, this shoe feels like we're grabbing holds with our bare toes, letting us know exactly where our feet are when blindly searching for that one hold when working over a bulge, while Vibram's XS Grip rubber boosts our confidence on the tiniest of feet.

Originally wasn't too keen on the old So Ill shoes, but the new shoes they introduced caught my interest as it has all new lasts and shapes. To my surprise these shoes turned out to be the best soft fitting aggressive shoe for my Greek feet. Fitting wise theses feel like the Scarpa Instinct VSRs with slightly tighter toe area and heel; widthwise. The toe rubber is a little more relaxed than the VSRs which took a while to break in for the big toe knuckle area. Forefoot area I would say it's about the same as the VSR's. Stiffness wise, they are softish shoes and somewhere between the Evolv Zenists and Instinct VSR. Maybe a little bit stiffer than the Dragos which I've tried in US 9.5. The other shoes in my arsenal are Evolv Shaman, Zenists (US10.5), Instinct VSR(US9.5), UP Moccs (US9).
