Why We Like The 2FO ClipLite Mountain Bike Shoe
Out of every 2FO mountain bike shoe from Specialized, the 2FO ClipLite Mountain Bike Shoe is the premier choice for downhill and enduro performance. It has the same professional-level platform worn by Specialized downhill and enduro racers. The two-bolt cleat pattern has an extended length (4mm) for rearward cleat setups, and the Specialized Landing Strip assists with foot-out riding. The shoe's midsole is stiff for high-performance pedaling, and there's a layer of EVA to soften landings. Specialized also made the 2FO ClipLite with the Body Geometry sole construction that aligns our hips, knees, and feet to boost our power.

Give it some time

I hated these at first and was about to return them. For the first several rides, these were digging into my feet causing me so much pain. I also had i play around with the tightness and cleat placement a lot to find the sweet spot. They eventually broke in and I really started to enjoy them for all of the reasons I was hoping I would. Boa let's you dial in the fit, stuff, clipped in yet planted, ergonomics and great pedaling.

Disappointing product from Specialized
- Familiarity:
- I returned this product before using it
I have been using Specialized mt. and road bike shoes for 15 years. Had two pairs of the previous 2FO Cliplite and the Rime 2.0 and loved each pair. These new 2FO's are no good. First, I have used 43.5's on all previous pairs, when I got that size my toes were slammed against the front. Sent those back and ordered the 44.0. They felt great at first sitting down but as soon as I stood up and walked around I had a lot of pain on top and inside of my ankle where the top of the tongue is. Even when the top boa is loosened it still pinches. I went to the Specialized website and the reviews there stated the same problem. I think the top boa is built too far up the foot. Super bummed as they look great and Specialized shoes always fit and worked well in the past. If you order these make sure to tighten them up and walk around a lot before mounting them up.
