Gauge Works Great

I bought this pump primarily for the low pressure gauge. I have used it multiple times and so far it is accurate (have double checked with an independent pressure gauge). I know gauges can be damaged if dropped so I'm careful with it. A high pressure tire may also damage the low pressure gauge.

I wanted to love it...

I own another air tool pump. It's great. Thought I'd try the MTB version because I like the large gauge to get pressure right. What a disaster. The pressure gauge is all over the place. It registers a correct pressure 1/5 times. The rest of the time it jumps around all over the place. Oh, it's at 10psi. No, it's at 5. Wait...it's at 18, 16, 14, 8, 2... I'm returning it and buying another to see if it will work. If the pressure gauge is a mess again...well...

Dead on arrival

The pump puts tons of air in the tire very quickly ?.. but the pressure gauge is about 10 psi low. Returning same day

Gauge was 4 to 5 psi off

before every ride I have to pump up my tire, then install my pressure gauge and bleed to the right pressure. I bought this so I could hopefully just pump and bleed at the same time using the large low range gauge. However the gauge was 4 to 5 PSI off vs my sks airchecker at 20 psi (20% error). Even 1 psi is noticable on my mountain bike so this is unacceptable error.

The Specialized Air Tool MTB Floor Pump is the best pump I have ever owned personally, for mountain bike tires. I really appreciate being able to clearly see the amount of air pressure, pound by pound. This thing is solid and looks good too. I highly recommend for MTB tires.
