Why We Like The Specialized Epic Evo XT Exclusive Mountain Bike
From rowdy singletrack shredding to competing for the podium, the Specialized Epic Evo is the more capable version of Specialized's renowned XC rocket, the Epic, and gives us more confidence and capability in rougher terrain. The Epic Evo has 110mm of FSR suspension, giving us more travel and updated suspension kinematics while maintaining an efficient climbing platform. The Epic Evo features a 66.5-degree head tube angle for exceptional stability and confidence on rougher XC courses and trails. A flip chip on the rear shock allows us to slacken out the bottom bracket height and head tube angle for more confidence on bigger days, and size-specific seat tube angles give us a balanced and nimble ride, no matter our frame size. Two water bottle mounts in the front triangle, integrated frame protection, and internal cable routing add the finishing touches.
The Shimano XT Exclusive build of the Specialized Epic Evo is hand-picked by our Gearhead® Experts and offers the best combination of value and performance. Specialized's FACT 11m carbon fiber frame is made to the highest specifications to ensure a durable, lightweight, and stiff carbon layup. Shimano's XT drivetrain brings us precise shifting, a proven track record, and a wide gear range for technical performance on the trail. The Shimano XT 4-piston brakes have us stopping on a dime, and the Specialized Control and Fast Trak tires ensure low rolling resistance and grip all over the trail. This build is equipped with a RockShox SID Ultimate Race Day, 3-position, 120mm fork for top-tier suspension performance, giving us a super adjustable fork and a 3-position lockout for climbing efficiency. The RockShox Super Deluxe+ rear shock soaks up trail chatter and throws down tons of gripping traction to keep us locked to the ground. Lastly, lightweight 29-inch Roval Control alloy rims are durable and are paired with DT Swiss 350 hubs for quality performance and engagement.
*Due to a high demand in the global supply chain and bike industry since the start of the pandemic, material weight and exact components are subject to change. We are working diligently to keep tech specs updated, and any adjustments will be of equal or better spec level.
