great fit, great value

This jersey has a race or aero cut but it’s slightly more generous than others. It’s not skin-tight or painted on which is nice for us more “experienced” enthusiast cyclists. In other words, I’m 53 years old and I’m not so skinny anymore, especially around the midsection which is where this jersey adds a little more space. I’m 5’9” and 155 pounds and the size large is a perfect fit. This tracks with the other Sportful jersey I own (the Monocrom) which is also a large. I also wear large in Castelli but a medium in more American-sized brands like Pearl Izumi and Hincapie. The jersey is very soft and comfortable and I really like the longer sleeves which come almost to my elbows. The fabric is more of a regular weight fabric as opposed to one that is made for the hottest weather. Those tend to have some mesh areas on it. That being said, I live in SW Florida and I wear this jersey during the hottest time of the year without issue. I can also wear this during the Florida winter so it’s a very versatile fabric for where I live. If I have one complaint about this jersey it’s that the zipper pull could be longer and I’m a little worried about the overall quality of the zipper. That being said, the zipper has worked great so far. I can zip and unzip while riding without issue so perhaps this concern is unwarranted. I paid $60 for this jersey on sale but it’s worth full retail price. It’s an all-round great looking jersey at an outstanding price and I will buy another.
