Get this battery

- I've used it several times
They’re the real battery made by SRAM. They cost WAY more than generic Amazon batteries, but are just better and more reliable. They actually garage normally, and then hold that charge. Maybe I’ve just had bad luck with other brands, and you might have good luck, but with these there’s no luck involved. Just get these and have peace of mind.

Carry a spare AXS battery!

I hadn't carried a spare AXS battery on me until my front derailleur died on me during a training ride. Wasn't the end of things, but definitely was a wake up call to carry a spare. Just after pulling the trigger and getting this as a spare, another racer at BWR California was frantically trying to find an AXS battery in the parking lot for his rear derailleur which he inadvertently left at home. I lent him mine and saved his race...

Seam etap battery

I’ve had these since the inception of etap. Yes the tabs are prone to breaking so be very careful installing. They are more expensive than they should be but the alternative china imitations are not recommended. Thank you Sram. I alway carry a couple of spares as they are very lightweight.

I purchased a new bike with the SRAM AXS etap wireless shifting. I went back to the dealer to purchase an extra battery. They told me they couldn?t get it until Sept 2023. I searched the internet and Backcountry had them. I ordered one and with hours I had a tracking number and a few days later I had the product. A few weeks later I decided to order another one and again it arrived very quickly. It is so refreshing to find a company that provide excellent customer service. I will order from this company again.

Battery Tab Breakage Issue

The struggle is REAL people! Both my battery tabs broke off so cause I'm cheap I use electrical tape to help secure them. I should send a photo of this to Shimano haha! Can't imagine SRAM is proud of the look of electrical tape on thousand dollar derailleurs, but apparently they don't mind as they offer no relief for defective batteries past two years. Not even an exchange and a redesign. Come on SRAM you can do better.
