Fall in love.
With Sterling's Evolution VR9 Rope you can have smooth handling and reliable quality without having to detract from your savings account. Its versatile diameter is a great option for multi-pitch routes, redpoint burns, or long approaches when you want to save some weight. The DryCore technology prevents the core from absorbing moisture, just in case you get caught in a rainstorm, and the middle marker makes it easy to find the middle of the rope when setting up rappels.

Big fan
This is my second time getting this rope. It is well priced, durable and handles smoothly.

It's a good rope until it isn't
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
Could honestly just be that I got a bad one, but it got dead spots really quickly. I've only used it as a gym rope. My gym also provides lead ropes for you, meaning I only use this one when the gym doesn't have any to lend. I've had it for just over a year. Plenty of other ropes out there that this would not happen with.

This rope catches very nicely, doesn’t tangle easily and feels nice in the hand. It feels a bit more slippery than I’d like, but I also climb with heavier climbers so that could be the reason for that. I’ve only had it one season though and it’s already showing considerable wear, more than I feel it should. That’s why I gave it 3 stars.
