These pants run really big. I am usually a medium but ordered a large thinking since they’re flannel lined they might be uncomfortable if they were tight. I contacted Customer Service to exchange to a medium. Backcountry doesn’t do exchanges so you have to re-buy the item and ship the other one back, but I had bought them on sale and wanted to have the price honored. Any way, I was sent another large so all of the waiting for shipping and getting a refund was a huge waste of time.

I'm so glad I read the comments about them being huge and not good for skinny gals because they are perfect for my big thighs :') trousers never fit me right and these are PERFECT. True over the belly button high waist, space for thighs + butt, super warm and comfy. I usually wear a large in pants but I got a medium and they're perfect, so recommend sizing now. I'm 160lbs / 5'6"

I have a lot of difficulty finding pants that are the right length & fit on me—especially if they’re lined. If you are on the lookout for a pair of petite/short/curvy fit lined pants these are wonderful! They have plenty of stretch in the waist and hips but also have the adjustable belt if you want them to be fitted. The material is super soft & has a good amount of flexibility so they hold up well to daily work & wear. I loved them so much that I got them in two different colors—they will be a winter staple for me for sure.

The warmth of the fleece is lovely, so I will give them a point there - the style as well is great with the neat little built in belt. However, if you are tall and have long legs (I'm 5'8 and about 130lbs), the crouch and in general the fit will be OFF. The crouch is MASSIVE, I got a medium and while it laid alright on my ankles, if I were to try to get it to fit, I would need to pull the pants up as the crouch is so large, then the pants are highwaters, and still it won't sit correctly on your hips as it's such a large area, I could fit a watermelon or two in the crouch. I really wish they had different sizes and cuts because these could've been perfect!

These are incredibly soft material and have been warm so far during cold fall days in PNW. I sized down to a xsmall instead of a small after reading reviews. My waist is 27in, hips 38in. These were initially snug around the waist but fit great after wearing for a little while. I also carefully removed the belt with a seam ripper because it defeated the purpose of the waistband being stretchy in my opinion. I’m 5’4” and they sit right below my ankle. Would buy more for sure.

I own a pair of the XXS Stoic non-flannels. Love that it’s a thicker pant for winter but it’s huge in all the wrong places. Looked to get a flannel pair for winter because warmth is warmth regardless of a baggy crotch. Unfortunately flannel model only comes in XS as the smallest and is wayyyy to big for someone 5’1. Which their were accommodating options for people in the 5-5’3 range

I'm normally a S in most brands but sized down to XS based on reviews. These fit great and are super comfortable but the length is nowhere near as long as it shows in the model pics. I don't have long legs and these hit right above my ankle unrolled. I'll keep these because I'm mainly wearing them to WFH but bummed because I was looking forward to rolling these up.
