Evolution Zap Short-Sleeve Jersey
When you pull into the driveway on a midsummer weeknight, dreaming of your after work ride already, you know you still have hours of daylight left before sunset. Nevertheless, by the time you let the pup outside, grab the mail, and eat a snack, you're a good hour closer to sunset. When you finally change into your ride kit, pull on the Sugoi Evolution Zap Jersey for a little extra reassurance that you'll stay seen as the roads dim.
Made with Sugoi's new Zap reflective accents, the Evolution aims to stand out more than just your average reflective gear. Sugoi specifically engineered Zap to be visible from up to 140 meters away, giving motorists time to see, and avoid you, as you're riding. Its placement also emphasizes to motorists that you are a human form rather than a road sign or other stationary object, silhouetting you to provide motorists with an idea of what they're seeing on dark or shady dusk roadsides.

Bit long, snags easily, but visible!
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
I recently started wearing some SUGOi Evolution bib shorts that I am a fan of, so I thought I'd check our their jersey selection as well. I really liked this mountain design and decided to pick it up in both Medium and Large to see how their jerseys fit. In my other go-to brand (PI) I am a M in their more relaxed jerseys and a L in their more semi-fit jerseys. For this jersey the M is a bit more snug than I'd prefer (but not terrible)- and the L is far too long for me, being a shorter rider. I'd say if there were a half-size between M and L that would be perfect for me. But, there isn't-- so I kept the Medium. I'm told the ZAP technology *is* very reflective and noticeable, which is great. The sleeves on this jersey are a big longer than I'm used to, but not terrible. They fit snug, but not restrictive. One complaint is that the jersey material seems to snag easily. I've thrown my gloves in my back pockets of my PI jerseys... well, almost every single time I finish a ride... and I've never once had my PI jerseys snag from the velcro. On my first ride doing this, I noticed some snags of the jersey material inside the pocket that held the gloves. A bit disappointing, but something I'll be aware of and will have to be more careful that the gloves are fully closed before throwing them in my back pocket. Anyway, pretty nice jersey, decent quality, good design, little pricey... will probably pick up another style or two as I need to add more jerseys to my collection.
