Disappointing - not like they used to be

I just completed a 17 mile bike ride today wearing these shorts. I am glad I did a short ride because these shorts are nothing like my previous Sugoi shorts. The chamois padding is horrible. My older pair is my go to pair for several years now, they are extremely comfortable during the 40 to 50 mile rides I do with my club every weekend . The new Sugoi chamois is a cheap looking piece with flimsy padding. After the ride I felt like I rode with bike shorts with no padding. I am disappointed to say the least , Especially for shorts that cost over 100 dollars. Sugoi products in the past were of high quality. However, now I will look for another brand . I would agree with a previous reviewer these shorts are nothing like they used to be

"RC Pro" does not mean what it used to.

The fit on these is fine, and the fabric seems decent quality. What I am a bit disappointed with is the Chamois. I have two older (8-9 year old) Sugoi shorts with the "RC Pro" chamois. They are fantastic, and the main reason I bought these shorts. Unfortunately, this chamois in no way resembles the older version and IMO is rather inferior to it. They should have spent more energy on making the chamois work well, and less on sticking stupid looking graphics all over it. The Chamois is "OK", about on par with shorts running about $50 less. Below par for a $120 pair. Unfortunately, I don't think you can return these after you ride in them.

Comfortable!

This is probably my 6 or 7th attempt at obtaining well made and comfortable bike shorts for long rides. Did an 80 miler followed by a 30 miler the next day.. These shorts did not disappoint. They were comfortable throughout my back-to-back ride days with out a fault. I would HIGHLY recommend these and plan on getting another in the not too distant future.
