Lens switch out is exasperating

Found these in a review, in fact several. Oh how excited I was, until I peeled off the inner shipping liner on the lens and tried to put the lens back in. No luck after at least 30 minutes of trying. And now BackCountry wants to add insult to injury with a $7 return fee. Ticks me off. Lens seemed of good quality, but I did not feel it in the rest of the frame and certainly in putting lens back into place in the frame.
