Why We Like The Teravail Rampart Tire
Designed for the latest crop of endurance bikes and adventure rigs, the Teravail Rampart Tire is designed for riders encountering a mixture of smooth asphalt and unmaintained back roads where potholes and large cracks pose a threat to traditional road tires. It's available in two distinct versions, with the Light & Supple casing delivering road-conforming comfort and the Durable casing reinforced with aramid against debris-causing flats. Both versions are tubeless-ready for lowering the pressure, in turn giving you better traction and compliance while lessening the chance of pesky pinch-flats.

Remarkable Sticking Power
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
After a significant review/selection process, I chose the Teravail Rampart tubeless tire (700c x 38 wide) to ride East Bay Area regional park gravel and hard pavement roads. My rides typically include road and gravel, nominally 30-50 miles long and in the range of 2000"-5000" elevation gain. A long duration product search know-doubt creates buyer bias. Nonetheless, I am stunned by how well this tire grips hardpack, dirt, and even with a bit of gravel trails. The Rampart holds remarkably high road/trail traction. I recently road sporadically wet fire trails a few weeks ago (Santa Cruz) and I had to really pedal hard to cause rear wheel/tire slip. If you are not a road/trail racer (gram minder) and appreciate tires that measurably enhance ride confidence (I'm middle aged) - give these Teravail Ramparts a go - And GO!
