Not as advertised
These hikers are supposed to be waterproof. I bought a pair this spring and by August, walking through wet grass, my feet and socks are soaked. The toe of one is delaminating and, as one or more reviewers noted, the laces fall off the tongue because the tongue is not long enough. Also, the spongy, if fashionable laces will not stay tied. I chucked them and bought a pair of old-fashioned, non-spongy ones. They will only stay on the tongue if you reverse thread them through the top islet, and then it is v. close. They are comfortable but certainly not worth the premium price.

I love Teva shoes
In preparation for a 5 week hiking trip I bought a pair of competitor hiking shoes because my local outfitter didn't have Teva in stock. I tried to break them in and ended up with plantar fasciitis. I returned the competitor shoes and ordered these. I have about 300 miles on them now including 225 from my 5 week trip and they are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. I'm ordering another pair not because these need to be replaced, I never want to be in a position of settling for something in stock. This is my 5th pair of Teva's and I'm not risking my feet again to another brand.

Well, this is my second pair, but there was a subtle change from the previous one which I like less. Eyelets for the laces instead of the leather guides. The shoes don't stay tied either (back to the laces and guides I expect), so I have to double knot them, whereas the old ones never had that problem.

Great Shoes
I have been a Teva wearer for many years. I love the quality of their shoes. It's unfortunate that they keep changing their styles as past styles are still much better than the current offering. The other issue I have is that they are extremely overpriced. It's a good quality shoe but they've gotten greedy.

I would be reluctant to buy again.
I used shoes to walk 6 miles each day. One foot/heel sore after each walk. Needs slightly more arch support like the Teva open and closed toe sandals I have used for several years. Not what I was hoping for.

Extremely painful to wear
Disclaimer: I have been a satisfied customer for over a decade and I have never had an issue with a shoe, until now. The spot where the tongue is sewed into the shoe creates a sharp, hard and painful stone-like feature that makes the shoe impossible to wear. After just a few minutes of wearing, I had a serious red spot on both feet. This needs a serious re-design. Do not buy.
